BREAKING NEWS: Boston On Lockdown 

The entire city of Boston is locked down right now. Mass transit has been shut down, residents are being told to remain in their homes and businesses have been asked to remain closed.

As I write, police have killed Tamerlan Tsarnaev, one of the two Boston Marathon bombers, and they are reportedly closing in on his brother, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. 

The brothers robbed a convenience store last night, hijacked a car and killed an MIT police officer. Around 1:00 AM they engaged in a shootout with the police in a Watertown neighborhood. They reportedly threw bombs out of their car at the police. 

There were reports that Tamerlan Tsarnaev charged police officers and had an explosive device on his body. Reuters noted that he died from multiple gunshot wounds and "possibly the blast of an explosive." In other words, he died like a jihadist homicide bomber. 

We know that the two are from the Chechnya region in Russia, an area plagued by radical Islamism. You may recall that it was Chechen jihadists who stormed the school in Beslan, Russian, killing more than 300 people, half of them children. According to their uncle, Tamerlan and Dzhokhar have lived in the U.S. for at least a decade. 

We have reported on occasion that Al Qaeda wanted to recruit Muslims who did not fit the profile -- recent converts, white Europeans, Muslims from Bosnia and Chechnya who do not appear Middle Eastern. It seems as though the Salon columnist who hoped the bomber(s) was white got his prayer answered. They are white. But guess what? They are also radicalized Muslims! 

Having grown up here, why would they turn on us? This is not a new phenomenon. The Fort Hood shooter, Nidal Hasan, was born in this country. Many recent terror plots in England involved not Middle Eastern immigrants, but their British-born children. 

Western countries have adopted very liberal immigration policies, but they have failed to assimilate immigrants. And pervasive political correctness in the public education system often teaches them that Western Civilization is to blame for much of the world's ills. They are being taught by the likes of Bill Ayers and Ward Churchill. 

Watching the coverage this morning, I have been struck by how many talking heads are struggling mightily to avoid making any connection to radical Islam. Even now, given all we know, the media continue feeding us left-wing drivel filtered through their politically correct mindset. 

For liberals, 9/11 changed nothing. They are paralyzed by fear, unable to admit that a portion of the Islamic world has declared war on us. That would require a serious response, something the left is not capable of. 

Please pray for the people of Boston and for law enforcement personnel and first responders, whose lives are always on the line but especially so today.
