Jihad In Fresno

It must be really challenging for left-wing media elites to figure out how to manipulate major news events to avoid confirming conservative narratives. Even the worst media liars couldn't cover up the fact that the Fresno shooter, who killed four people in recent days, was a bigot who hated white people.

In the days leading up to yesterday's shooting spree, the killer made his hate absolutely clear. He shot and killed one white man last week and intentionally looked for other white men to mow down. These murders were clearly hate crimes.

But some media outlets are doing everything they can to downplay the second part of the narrative, which is that Kori Ali Muhammad is a radical Muslim. For example, according to the Associated Press, Muhammad yelled "God is great" as he was mowing people down.

That's odd. Was he an evangelical who just snapped? Hardly. Fresno police say he shouted the Islamic supremacist war cry, "Allahu akbar," the correct Muslim translation of which is, "Allah is greatest."

And, no, it is not the same God unless the Bible is a lie. All those mushy Christians out there who think we worship the same god should think again. The Bible and the Koran are contradictory. Only one is the inspired word of the God of Abraham.

On Muhammad's social media accounts, he posted racist messages and made it clear that he was inspired by radical Islam. As we noted yesterday, people like this are also being inspired by left-wing Hollywood elites, academics, commentators and politicians, who say every day that the problem in America is white men.

Kelly's Warning & Promise

Ironically, Muhammad's killing spree occurred on the same day that Homeland Security Secretary Gen. John Kelly delivered a speech at George Washington University warning about the dangers we face from radical Islam. Consider this excerpt:

"For a brief moment after the attacks of 9/11, our nation shook off its complacency, and realized our American values had a mortal enemy called radical Islam. But as the years have passed we've grown complacent. . . The threat to our nation and our American way of life has not diminished. In fact, the threat has metastasized and decentralized, and the risk is as threatening today as it was that September morning almost 16 years ago.

"As I speak these words the FBI has open terrorism investigations in all 50 states, and since 2013, there have been 37 ISIS-linked plots to attack our country. . . But the dangers don't just come from overseas. . . In the past 12 months alone, there have been 36 homegrown terrorist cases in 18 states."

Secretary Kelly also spoke bluntly about illegal immigration, the failure to enforce the rule of law and the promise of the Trump Administration to restore law and order. He said:

"But for too long, the men and women of my Department have been political pawns. . . In many ways similar to the treatment suffered by law enforcement over the last few years, they are often ridiculed and insulted by public officials, and frequently convicted in the court of public opinion on unfounded allegations. . .

"If lawmakers do not like the laws . . . we are charged to enforce, then they should have the courage and skill to change the laws. Otherwise they should shut up and support the men and women on the front lines. My people have been discouraged from doing their jobs for nearly a decade, disabled by pointless bureaucracy and political meddling, and suffered disrespect and contempt by public officials who have no idea what it means to serve. . .

"We will never apologize for enforcing and upholding the law. We will never apologize for carrying out our mission. We will never apologize for making our country more secure."

Evidence Of Collusion

There is growing evidence that there was collusion in the presidential race between foreign entities and one of our major political parties. But, as always, the details matter. The evidence suggests that the Democrats colluded with foreign intelligence agencies to monitor the Trump campaign.

This evidence is not coming from Fox News or Judge Andrew Napolitano, but from a left-wing British publication called The Guardian. According to this report, British intelligence (which vehemently denied any involvement) first noticed "suspicious interactions" in late 2015. This information was allegedly passed on to the Obama Administration.

But within a few months, the intelligence agencies of Australia, Canada, Estonia, France, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand and Poland were all reportedly involved in passing information to the Obama Administration. There has been speculation that so many foreign intelligence agencies got in on the act hoping to curry favor with the presumed winner, Hillary Clinton.

I recommend this story to the members of the House and Senate Intelligence Committees for an aggressive line of questioning as they investigate the possibility of foreign influence in our elections.

Georgia Results

There was a special election yesterday in Georgia's Sixth Congressional District for the House seat vacated by Health and Human Services Secretary Dr. Tom Price.

The seat was first won by the GOP in 1978 by a young conservative with a funny name -- Newt Gingrich. Eleven Republicans were running, while Democrats largely rallied around Jon Ossoff.

There was much speculation in recent weeks that Ossoff would benefit from the fractured GOP field and win the seat outright. He raised more than $8 million in the past three months -- more money than Tom Price raised for all of his elections in the past six years.

But when the ballots were counted, more Republicans than Democrats turned out to vote. As a result, Jon Ossoff was held to 48%, short of the majority he needed to win.

Ossoff will face off against the top Republican vote-getter, former Secretary of State Karen Handel, in a June runoff election.
