The Real Donald Trump
President Trump had an incredible exchange yesterday at the NATO Summit with a female reporter from the BBC. She asked the president if he would resupply Ukraine with additional Patriot missile interceptors.
President Trump could tell she was emotional, and he began asking her a series of personal questions. He asked where she was from because she didn’t have a British accent. She was from Ukraine. Trump asked if she lived there now. She and her children live in Poland. The president asked about her husband. He’s serving in the Ukrainian Army.
It was a poignant exchange that caught many reporters by surprise. Watch it here.
This is the Donald Trump I have seen time and time again in the Oval Office and at his Bedminster, New Jersey, golf club.
I was in Bedminster for a meeting with the president and other conservative leaders. He walked into the room and started asking each of us similarly empathetic questions. He genuinely wanted to know what we were dealing with that day. And this was just after he had been indicted by Jack Smith in Washington, D.C.!
Of course, you don’t see this Donald Trump during interviews with hostile reporters. The leftist media don’t want you to see it. They want to convince you he is angry and mean-spirited all the time. But everyone who has ever worked with Donald Trump knows the media’s caricature is not the real Donald Trump.
The Party Of Failure
Democrats and their media allies have gone all in on this ridiculous effort to convince the American people that our great military and President Trump failed to stop the Iranian nuclear program in any meaningful way. This is a perfect example of their disconnect from heartland America.
Democrats are convinced that it is to their benefit to make everyone believe that our brave Air Force pilots who carried out the mission failed and that President Trump is lying about Iran’s nuclear facilities being “obliterated.” Democrats are cheerleading for America’s failure.
President Trump repeatedly said he would not allow Iran to get nuclear weapons. He said it could be done the easy way through negotiations or the “messy way.” Unfortunately, the Iranians were not interested in negotiations.
The initial Democrat response was to question U.S. and Israeli intelligence regarding just how close Iran was to getting a nuclear weapon. Democrats argued there was no evidence Iran was close to or even wanted a nuclear weapon, and any talk of military action was reckless and irresponsible.
But after Trump took action, they turned on a dime, blasting him for only setting Iran’s nuclear program back a few months. So, after the attack, they want us to believe that Iran is closer to a nuclear weapon? That’s absurd!
Pete Pounds The Press
Just a few months ago, Democrats and the media tried to destroy Pete Hegseth and derail his nomination to be secretary of defense. They said he was unfit for the job, had no idea what he was talking about, and they even accused him of being a drunk.
Democrats were really furious after Secretary of Defense Hegseth walked into the Pentagon and started cleaning house. He fired bureaucrats in and out of uniform. He eliminated DEI programs and restored common sense by ensuring that our troops were mentally fit and combat-ready.
The Left said Hegseth was gutting our defense and leaving us vulnerable without “leaders” like “Thoroughly Modern” Milley. They were wrong on all counts, and his performance at this morning’s press conference proved he is exactly the right man for the job.
Secretary Hegseth ripped into the Washington press corps for their irrational hatred of Donald Trump. He blasted the media for spinning a leaked preliminary report that was obviously meant to disparage Trump and our military.
Instead of demonizing Trump, Hegseth asked the reporters why they weren’t celebrating the fact that only America has these special capabilities (see below) and why they weren’t celebrating a “historically successful attack” that “created the conditions to end the war.”
Meanwhile, new evidence strengthens the president’s assessment that the mission was a tremendous success.
Israeli intelligence says the mission was accomplished. If it wasn’t, Israel would have every reason to say it failed and that more needed to be done because a nuclear-armed Iran is an existential threat to the Jewish state.
The head of the U.N.’s International Atomic Energy Agency said Iran’s nuclear weapons program “suffered enormous damage.”
Even a spokesman from Iran’s Foreign Ministry conceded, “Our nuclear installations have been badly damaged, that’s for sure.”
If you missed the press conference, I encourage you to watch it. It will make you proud to be an American.
Two Men & 15 Years
General Dan Caine, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, also addressed the media this morning. What General Caine revealed was amazing and explained why President Trump is so confident in the mission’s success.
Caine said the U.S. military became aware of Iranian activity at the Fordow site over 15 years ago. They called in two of their top analysts from the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) and told them their jobs were to watch every aspect of construction to understand exactly what would be needed to take out the Fordow facility.
They soon realized that the U.S. military had nothing in its vast arsenal that could do the job. So, a mini “Manhattan Project” was launched to develop bombs made specifically to destroy Fordow. Gen. Caine added that this project was the biggest use of supercomputers in the United States at the time.
The DTRA analysts identified the ventilation shafts for the underground facility during its construction. That’s where these massive 30,000-pound bombs were dropped with such amazing precision – right into the ventilation shafts.
General Caine warned our enemies that other teams have been studying similar targets for the same amount of time.
Fifteen years ago, two men were given what must have seemed like an impossible task. Countless lives depended on them, yet they couldn’t tell anyone, not even their wives, what they were working on. Suddenly, the day came when their 15 years of work was no longer theoretical, and it all culminated in a historic 37-hour mission.
General Caine also praised the men and women who carried out the mission.
The B-2 crews said goodbye to their families on Friday, not knowing when or whether they would be back. Saturday evening their families learned about the dangerous mission and what they had accomplished. When the bombers returned to Whiteman Air Force Base on Sunday, General Caine said there were “a lot of flags and a lot of tears.”
Another successful mission took place on Monday when Iran attempted to retaliate. Acting on reports of an imminent attack, most personnel were evacuated from the massive U.S. base in Qatar.
Only 44 soldiers manning Patriot missile batteries were left to defend the base. They were young men, ages 21 to 28, and they had just two minutes -- 120 seconds -- to make the correct critical decisions in order to intercept the Iranian missiles, and they succeeded. Not one enemy missile hit the base.
God bless the men and women of the United States military!
A Big Win
Pro-life conservatives have been fighting for years to stop our tax dollars from going to Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion business in the country.
Today, the Supreme Court ruled 6 to 3 that the state of South Carolina could cut off Medicaid funding to the abortion behemoth.
Other conservative states should follow South Carolina’s example and ensure that taxpayer dollars are not funding the pro-death abortion industry in any way.
“Jihadi” Mamdani Fallout
The fallout from New York City’s primary election has Democrats in shock. Veteran strategist James Carville called Zohar Mamdani’s win a “potentially damaging event” for the Democrat Party.
While the Left is praising Mamdani’s victory, there are several red flags emerging in the post-election analysis.
Turnout in Tuesday’s primary was low. So low, in fact, that one analysis suggests only five to seven percent of New Yorkers actually voted for Mamdani in the primary, hardly a sign of a popular mandate.
Working-class voters overwhelmingly voted for Andrew Cuomo. College-aged, white liberals voted for Mamdani. How do you explain that? They’ve been indoctrinated.
Mamdani’s voters have gone through the four-year Marxist bootcamps we call “higher education.” They come out hating America, Israel, free markets, and the police. Working-class Americans know the reality of life. They know what works and what doesn’t.
In addition to his own radical views, Mamdani’s radical supporters are coming under scrutiny.
Speaking of his views, Mamdani is a follower of the Shia Muslim Twelver sect, the official religion of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Twelvers are waiting for the 12th imam, the “hidden imam” known as the Mahdi, to reveal himself and conquer the world in the name of Allah.
That would be bad for Christians, Jews, women, and, I hate to break it to them, the LGBTQ community. But Mamdani says he’s a huge supporter of LGBTQ rights. His platform calls for publicly funded transgender surgeries.
It’s difficult to square Mamdani’s faith with taxpayer funded sex changes. Homosexuality is punishable by death in Iran. I recall former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad claiming there were no homosexuals in Iran.
Andrew Cuomo has not yet ruled out running as an independent candidate in the general election, as Mayor Eric Adams is currently doing. In a divided four-way race, anyone could win, including Republican Curtis Sliwa.
