Stand With Me!

Thank you to everyone who has generously stepped up to the plate this week! Your support is the only thing that keeps us going in these challenging times.

But there is so much at stake.

We must resist the radical left!

We must defend our values!

Another Nightmare

America woke up this morning to the horrific news that three more police officers were brutally attacked in New York City last night. One officer was stabbed in the neck. The other two were wounded when the assailant also opened fire on them. Thankfully, the officers are expected to recover from their injuries.

Patrick Lynch, head of the Police Benevolent Association, told reporters outside of the hospital:

"Are we surprised we're here in the hospital again? Did we doubt, because of the anti-police rhetoric that's storming our streets, are we surprised that we got this call? . . . All [officials] have to say, 'It's going to end today,' and then allow us to go out and do it."

This morning the police announced that they will no longer let people flout the curfew because the people flouting the curfew end up rioting or providing cover for the rioters. But Mayor Bill de Blasio is saying they won't enforce the curfew against people exercising their right to demonstrate.

Other countries send their police officers to New York City to train with the NYPD because it is known as the best police department in the world. But the left has destroyed it with idiotic ideology demands that have led us to the present moment.

The Facts

Kudos to Tucker Carlson! On his show last night, Carlson laid out the clear facts about police shootings in this country. According to research by the Washington Post:

  • There were 1,004 fatal police shootings last year.
  • In the overwhelming majority of cases, the individual shot by the officer was armed.
  • Race was documented in 802 cases.
  • Of those, 371 of the deceased where white and 236 were black.
  • There were only 10 cases in which an unarmed black man was shot by an officer.
  • In most of those cases, the officers were physically attacked.
  • Two officers were prosecuted.

Carlson also noted that in 2018, more than 7,400 black Americans were murdered on the streets.  That means for every unarmed black person shot to death by a police officer, more than 700 were murdered by someone else. Why doesn't that carnage get more attention?

Their Solution

What do the demonstrators, the progressive politicians and liberal Hollywood stars think is the solution to the relatively rare cases of unjustified police force?

Well, many of them are donating money to bail the rioters out of jail or provide lawyers for them. In some cases, no lawyer is needed because liberal politicians are releasing the rioters as fast as the police arrest them. That's what happened yesterday in St. Louis

Some have suggested a nationwide law banning chokeholds, which police were trained to use as an alternative to pulling their weapons.

Some progressives want to defund the police. Many Hollywood celebrities are on board. Los Angeles is taking the first step, moving to slash $150 millionfrom the police budget.

The defund the cops movement wants to replace police with "peace departments" made up of counselors and psychologists. Yeah, that'll work. Homeowner: "Somebody's trying to break into my house!" 911 dispatcher: "We're sending a counselor right now!"

One liberal journal here in Washington suggested that citizens when dealing with law enforcement should be able to request officers of their own race. Isn't that racist?

After straining to give birth to an idea, Mayor Bill de Blasio came up with this gem: Everyone needs to be humming John Lennon's song "Imagine." You know the tune:  "Imagine there's no heaven . . . No hell below us . . . Imagine there's no countries . . . And no religion too."

Well, Mr. Mayor, that kind of nonsensical wishful thinking got us into this mess!

Imagine This. . .

As you know, President Trump, Attorney General Barr and the U.S. Park Police have been viciously maligned because the president wanted to walk to the historic St. John's Church after radical leftists attempted to burn it down. Within hours the left came up with a narrative that was a total lie, and is being repeated in every news story.

Last night, former Bush Press Secretary Ari Fleischer blasted the media for its blatant bias. He suggested that we all imagine that Barack Obama were president, and for days Tea Party members had been rioting in Washington, D.C., attempting to breach the fence at the White House.

Later one evening, they tried to burn down a mosque in Washington. Imagine that Obama announced to the Secret Service, "I'm going to that mosque. Clear the way." He visits the mosques, holds up a Koran and returns to the White House.

How do you think the media would have covered such an event?

It would have been glowing and effusive with praise. Obama would have won another Nobel Peace Prize. And anyone who dared to suggest otherwise would have been labeled a "bigot."

Remembering Captain Dorn

Do you know the name David Dorn? He was a 77-year-old retired St. Louis police captain. He had five children and ten grandchildren. When Dorn served on the force, he devoted his free time to inspiring minority youth to go into law enforcement.

He was killed early Tuesday morning by looters. His murderer and the people around the scene videoed Dorn’s death and posted it on social media.

The fund set up to bail rioters out of jail is now up to $20 million. I'm not aware of any Hollywood celebrities, major corporations or progressive tech titans donating to the devastated Dorn family.

I have seen the terrible images of what happened to George Floyd probably 200 times. The mainstream media played that horrific video over and over and over, knowing full well the racial tensions that exist in this country. They treated it as if they wanted riots in the streets.

David Dorn died because of those riots. His funeral won't be broadcast on TV. His death will be swept under the rug and forgotten. I suspect that your grandchildren will be taught in school about George Floyd, but they will never learn the name of David Dorn.
