Assassination Scheme Stopped
A Pakistani man, Asif Merchant, was arraigned in Brooklyn yesterday, charged with plotting to assassinate Donald Trump and other American officials. The story will be buried and will disappear quickly.
Imagine that someone associated with Russia had been arraigned in New York yesterday and charged in a plot to assassinate Kamala Harris. That story would be huge news, and it would make headlines for days.
Merchant was arrested on July 12th – the day before the assassination attempt against Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. We’ve known about Iranian threats on Trump’s life for years now. Did the FBI tell the Secret Service about the arrest? Maybe then they would have given Trump extra security instead of denying his requests.
Confronting Communist China
Shujun Wang is a naturalized U.S. citizen of Chinese descent. He is a scholar of East Asia studies, and he founded an organization in New York dedicated to promoting freedom in communist China. For years, Wang was known as one of the leading advocates for democracy in China.
Incredibly, it turns out that Wang was actually a spy for the Chinese Communist Party for at least the past decade. Instead of helping to promote democracy in China, he was collecting information on leading Chinese dissidents in the United States and reporting it to agents of China’s Ministry of State Security.
Once again, we have clear evidence that the communist regime in Beijing is not a “trading partner,” but an enemy. That should be obvious to everyone. It is COMMUNIST China after all.
They have infiltrated the United States in multiple ways. They corrupt our colleges.
They hack our businesses and government agencies.
They have attempted to sabotage our critical infrastructure. They have the audacity to set up “police stations” in our country. And they compromise our politicians at every level.
While the Biden administration obsesses over Russia and Ukraine, a much greater threat is growing in communist China.
More On Walz
Yesterday, we provided some examples of Tim Walz’s issue positions. Here’s more.
Gov. Walz ordered tampons to be put in boys’ bathrooms in every Minnesota school because some on the left think boys have periods and get pregnant.
He is so committed to abortion that Nancy Pelosi told him to tone down his rhetoric. He also signed legislation that repealed the reporting requirement for babies born alive after botched abortions.
He signed legislation that repealed explicitly anti-pedophilia language from Minnesota’s anti-discrimination “human rights” law.
Walz was among the most aggressive governors when it came to enforcing COVID lockdowns. He set up a special hotline for people to report non-compliant neighbors. When reopening began, he restricted church attendance to just 10 people per church.
During the 2020 riots, his wife deliberately kept their windows open so, as she explained, she could smell the city burning because she thought it was such a historic moment.
Gov. Walz and his wife took their honeymoon in communist China, and he traveled there at least 30 times.
Walz does not believe in building a border wall. When asked about it, he said he would invest in a ladder factory.
The Democrat Socialists of America are cheering Walz’s selection as vice president. In a social media post, they declared:
“Harris choosing Walz as a running mate has shown the world that DSA and our allies on the left are a force that cannot be ignored. The Uncommitted movement, in which DSA members played crucial roles nationally and in multiple states, pressured the Democratic establishment into choosing a new candidate and backing down from a potential VP with direct ties to the IDF.”
The “Uncommitted Movement” is also pleased with the selection of Walz as Harris’s running mate. Why? They believe his position on Israel will “evolve.” The group declared:
“Governor Walz has demonstrated a remarkable ability to evolve as a public leader. . . we hope he can evolve on this issue [Israel] . . . As Harris’ vice presidential pick, it’s crucial he continues this evolution by supporting an arms embargo on Israel’s war and occupation against Palestinians in an effort to unite our party. . .”
These developments led liberal activist Van Jones to express his concerns that Kamala Harris “caved in” to anti-Semitism and the “darker parts” of the Democrat Party.
“Weird & Creepy”
Neo-Marxist leftists have taken to calling conservatives “weird” and “creepy.” Why are they calling us weird and creepy? Because we want lower tax rates? No, that’s not it.
They are calling us that because we don’t want young children exposed to graphic sexual information. They think that’s “weird and creepy.”
We want to make it as difficult as possible for a young girl to cut her breasts off when what she really needs is counseling and love. They think our desire to protect that young girl is “weird and creepy.”
We’re offended when we see a bunch of gender cultists mocking The Last Supper of our Lord with disgusting imagery. Because we don’t celebrate their perversity, they think we’re “weird and creepy.”
As usual, the left has it exactly backwards! What’s “weird and creepy” is the left’s constant attacks on normalcy and Christians.
Stolen Valor?
There’s another controversy surrounding Gov. Walz – his military record. Walz has repeatedly claimed that he left the National Guard with the rank of “command sergeant major.” That’s not true. He was temporarily assigned that rank, but was also demoted by the National Guard when he retired.
Another part of the controversy involves his actual combat service – or lack thereof. Walz has called for restrictions on Second Amendment rights by recalling his service in combat. He said, “We can make sure those weapons of war, that I carried in war, are only carried in war.”
There’s just one problem. Walz never fought in a war. When his National Guard unit was called up to go to Iraq, Walz asked for early retirement. He was the senior officer of his unit, and he retired when his men needed his experience the most.
