Biden’s Border Disaster
The situation at the southern border is a complete and total disaster. Joe Biden’s open border policies have resulted in utter chaos -- record illegal immigration, record migrant deaths, a sickening surge in illegal child labor, crime and record drug overdose deaths in America.
And in a matter of days, all of this is likely to get much worse as the Title 42 pandemic emergency authority officially ends.
When that happens, Biden Administration officials expect an overwhelming flood of illegal aliens to storm the border – perhaps as many as 10,000 a day. Some cities along the southern border are issuing emergency declarations.
Joe Biden knows he’s got a serious problem on his hands. So, he’s ordered 1,500 troops to the border. This tells me that Biden is in full campaign mode. He wants to be able to say, “I care about border security. That’s why I sent troops to the border.”
But he’s not serious.
First of all, as I noted above and have pointed out repeatedly, the border crisis is nothing new. It has gotten dramatically worse every day, every week and every month that Joe Biden has occupied the Oval Office. But he’s only now sending reinforcements to the border.
Second, the White House was quick to explain that the troops are not apprehending illegal aliens or stopping them from coming in. They will be performing “non-law enforcement duties,” as well as “data entry and warehouse support.”
In other words, Biden is sending 1,500 troops to help process more illegal aliens and to facilitate what can only be described as an unconventional invasion of our nation.
When Donald Trump sent troops to the border, there was a lot of grumbling and resistance from the Pentagon, including leaks that it was “threatening readiness.” Democrats, like then-Senator Kamala Harris, accused Trump of inappropriately politicizing our military.
Really? What is our military for if not protecting our own borders? Oh, right – protecting the borders of other countries like Iraq, Afghanistan and Ukraine.
Biden’s Modern Military
While Biden is sending troops to the border to push papers and stock warehouses, our military continues to suffer from a serious recruiting crisis. The military lowered standards and it hasn’t helped.
Well, the top brass at the Navy are trying something different to reach younger Americans on social media. They’ve named “Harpy Daniels” to be one of the Navy’s “digital ambassadors” to help with recruiting.
Exactly who is Ms. Daniels? That’s the drag queen “stage name” of Joshua Kelly, a “non-binary” petty officer currently serving in Biden’s thoroughly modern Navy.
And exactly who is this drag queen trying to recruit? Men? Women? Men who like to dress up and pretend to be women? Does the Navy really believe that its biggest problem is a lack of “drag power”?
There should be nationwide outrage!
There would be nationwide outrage if the Navy announced it was using someone whose shtick was blackface – a white man pretending to be a black man.
Well, why are we empowering men who pretend to be women and using them to recruit for our Navy?
Congressional leaders should ask General Mark “Thoroughly Modern” Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, for a breakdown on how many of the non-existent 72 genders are represented in the ranks.
Left-wing Lunacy
Our domestic neo-Marxist left is doing more damage to this country than any foreign enemy could dream of. The latest example (if the Navy’s drag queen recruiting scandal wasn’t enough) comes from Fallbrook, California.
For several years now, the Rainbow Oaks Restaurant in Fallbrook has carried on a tradition of playing the national anthem every day at noon. As you might expect, many patriotic patrons stand when the anthem is played out of respect for our country, our flag and our veterans.
Well, some woke leftist happened to be in the restaurant recently when the national anthem played, and, boy, was she triggered!
As restaurant patrons stood respectfully, this woman videoed the scene and posted it on social media. She claimed the experience was, “By far the most dangerous situation I’ve ever been in.” Clearly, she’s never spent a weekend in Chicago!
What would have made this lady feel safer? The communist Chinese national anthem? Some separatist, leftist anthem? Clearly, this lady does not love America.
She also included a number of bizarre hashtags on her post, such as “#getout,” “#illegal” and “#whitepeoplethings.” What?!
This country is made up of patriots of all races who love America and who have fought to protect America. Trust me, there are plenty of black, Hispanic and Asian patriots.
But there are some people who are trying to fundamentally transform America because they hate our country. Remember the New York Times reporter who was “disturbed” by flags on pickup trucks?
Remember the leftist teacher who removed the American flag from her classroom because it made her “uncomfortable”? She encouraged her students to pledge their allegiance to the gay pride flag instead.
My advice to these and other Marxists: Find somewhere else to live, and don’t let the door hit you on the way out!
Meanwhile, I am pleased to report that the owners of the Rainbow Oaks Restaurant are not backing down, and will continue to play the national anthem every day. Good for them!
National Day Of Prayer
Tomorrow is the National Day of Prayer. This year’s theme is "Pray Fervently In Righteousness And Avail Much,” based on the verse James 5:16b, "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”
There is certainly much to pray about in these challenging and difficult times.
