Biden’s Stumbles
President Joe Biden is in Japan for the G-7 Summit. He almost tripped while walking down a flight of stairs at the Itsukushima Shrine, one of Japan’s most popular tourist attractions. Fortunately, he steadied himself and avoided an awkward collapse.
Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for America’s foreign policy. In a confidential meeting recently, I heard a high-level former Trump official comment on the fact that Biden’s feeble mind is more than just a joke for Fox News commentators and late-night comedians.
It is deadly serious. Our enemies see it. Our friends see it. And it impacts the decisions they make. While it certainly hasn’t gone well for him, it’s no coincidence that Vladimir Putin chose to invade Ukraine after witnessing Biden’s disastrous retreat from Afghanistan.
As we have previously noted, communist China is moving aggressively to challenge America around the world, even moving into the Middle East now. Sensing America’s weakness, the Saudis are willing to cut deals with China.
Members of Congress are stepping up to fill the void created by Biden’s weakness. But at the end of the day, there is only one commander-in-chief.
And while our military is still the most powerful fighting force on the planet, it is stretched thin (here and here) and morale is collapsing under the weight of woke ideology (here and here).
Progressives Pound Whistleblowers
As I noted in yesterday’s report, I was struck by how progressive politicians attacked and smeared the FBI whistleblowers who testified before the House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government.
Progressives spent the entire four years of the Trump presidency worshiping whistleblowers! Now, it seems they are ready to crucify them.
Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) attacked one of the FBI whistleblowers for writing a book. He was there to expose corruption at the FBI and she’s worried about a book deal? I wouldn’t be surprised if the congresswoman has an autographed copy of Alexander Vindman’s book.
Perhaps the most embarrassing moment was when Rep. Linda Sanchez (D-CA) grilled one of the whistleblowers over his Tweets that accused Nancy Pelosi of staging the events of January 6th. There was only one problem – it wasn’t his Twitter account!
But rather than admit her mistake and move on, Sanchez doubled down. She attempted to force the whistleblower to denounce a statement he never made!
Covering For The Clintons
While we’re on the subject of dishonesty and corruption, it’s worth revisiting the Durham report once again. This isn’t necessarily new news, but the Durham report highlighted just how much the FBI went out of its way to cover for Bill and Hillary Clinton.
There were at least four active investigations into the Clinton’s influence peddling schemes that the FBI shut down as Hillary was measuring the drapes for the White House in 2016.
And don’t forget how the FBI bent over backwards to accommodate Clinton. When Hillary had to be interviewed, she was allowed to show up with five lawyers in her entourage. I think it’s safe to say that the lawyers did all the talking.
No Clinton associates were subjected to pre-dawn FBI raids like Roger Stone or Paul Manafort. No, they got immunity deals! Heck, her staff even destroyed evidence and no one was charged.
Of course, we know that Hillary was the FBI’s preferred candidate, and the Bureau went all in (here and here) on the Clinton campaign’s Russia collusion hoax to frame Donald Trump.
Clearly, this degree of corruption runs much deeper than just “a few bad apples.” Conservatives and freedom-loving Americans must seriously confront the corruption at the FBI.
It will be a tough task in this current environment, but members of Congress who are serious about rooting out corruption must draw some hard lines now. They should start by defunding the FBI’s massive new headquarters.
Left-wing Lunacy
The backlash against Bud Light’s embrace of Dylan Mulvaney continues. Some vendors are now paying people to drink it!
Evidently, “womanface” performances don’t appeal to beer drinkers. Imagine that?! Sales of Bud Light are down 24% compared to last year, and the entire Anheuser-Busch brand is suffering.
You’d think this would be a clear warning sign to corporate America. But it seems there are plenty of companies eager to join the “Bud Club of Left-wing Lunacy.”
Apparel company Adidas apparently thought that the key to selling women’s swimsuits was to stick a man in one. Now, I’m not a marketing guru and I’m no expert on women’s fashion. But something tells me this ad campaign won’t result in shattered sales records for Adidas.
It’s safe to say that British Olympic swimmer Sharron Davies isn’t a fan of the new Adidas ad. She slammed the growing trans fad as “an absolute assault on being female and what that means to women,” and retweeted a series of hashtags: #BoycottAdidas, #AdidasMisogyny and #AdidasHatesWomen.
While we’re on the subject of left-wing lunacy and the trans fad, the Biden Administration is on a jihad to get dangerous chocolate milk out of our public schools because of its threat to public health. But it’s totally fine with puberty blockers for kids.
2024 Update
South Carolina Senator Tim Scott today filed the necessary paperwork to run for president. He will reportedly make a formal announcement on Monday that will be followed by a multimillion-dollar ad campaign.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is also expected to jump into the presidential primary race by the end of the month, as is former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.
Meanwhile, the latest Morning Consult poll finds former President Donald Trump expanding his lead among Republican primary voters. Trump currently leads DeSantis 61% to 18%. No other candidate received double digit support.
