Biden In Buffalo
The White House announced yesterday that President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden are traveling to Buffalo, New York, today to comfort the families of the victims of Saturday's mass shooting. That is exactly what a president should do after such horrible events.
The quickness with which the White House moved to get Biden there is impressive. What is inexplicable, however, is why the Biden White House is so selective in responding to hate crimes.
Six months ago, a black man with a long record of anti-white racism drove into people participating in a Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin. He deliberately mowed people down, killing six and injuring more than 60, including many children. There is no doubt this was a hate crime.
But no matter how hard the Biden White House tried, they just couldn't find the time to get Joe to Waukesha to comfort those victims. Ten days after the horrific parade attack, Biden flew to Rosemont, Minnesota, just over 300 miles from Waukesha. But the White House couldn't figure out a way to make a little detour to comfort middle American families attacked by a black hater.
Joe Biden didn't go to Waukesha because it didn't help the left's effort to label half the country as bigots and haters. Going to Waukesha would be acknowledging that bigotry exists in every racial group, and that hate crimes come in all colors.
But the horrible crime in Buffalo is seen by the left as a perfect opportunity to launch disgusting attacks on conservatives, which is exactly why Biden is there today.
Left-wing Lies
The Biden Administration, progressive politicians and the media are in full-throated attack mode. They are using the Buffalo killer to smear Tucker Carlson, Fox News, half the country and normal conservatism as "racists" and "beyond the pale." Rolling Stone identified the killer as "a mainstream Republican." It's obscene. It's race baiting.
The evil killer in Buffalo obviously hated blacks and Jews. In addition, according to his own manifesto he also hated Fox News, and adamantly rejected the "conservative" label. His deranged worldview is far more complicated than what the media and liberal politicians are suggesting.
The Buffalo killer claims to have been inspired by the insane man who attacked a mosque in New Zealand. That man described himself as an "eco-fascist." So did the racist murderer in El Paso. Here's how the Buffalo killer describes himself in his manifesto:
"When I was 12 I was deep into communist ideology. . . On the political compass [now] I fall in the mild-moderate authoritarian left category. . . But you can call me an ethno-nationalist eco-fascist national socialist if you want, I wouldn't disagree with you."
It is obvious to any rational person that this killer has NOTHING to do with the millions of Americans who want secure borders.
He has NOTHING to do with the millions of Americans who want the poison of critical race theory out of our schools.
He has NOTHING to do with the millions of Americans who believe that skin color should be the least important thing about us.
He has NOTHING to do with the millions of Americans who are sick and tired of politicians trying to divide us by race to gain political power.
The overwhelming majority of Americans of all races reject racial hatred. We were horrified by the attack by a bigot on families at a Christmas parade. We are horrified by the attack in Buffalo against our black fellow Americans.
Most of us want to live in peace in a free country. We are sick and tired of left-wing politicians trying to divide us by race, income and faith in order to distract us from their disastrous socialist policies.
Another Place Joe Won't Go
Lost in all the headlines about Buffalo was the Sunday shooting at Geneva Presbyterian Church in Laguna Woods, California. One person was killed and five others were wounded.
Joe Biden will not visit Laguna Woods because like Waukesha and the New York City subway shooting, it doesn't help advance the left's narrative. But it's important that you know the truth.
Geneva Presbyterian Church was targeted by a sympathizer of communist China. He drove from Las Vegas and went to that church specifically to attack Taiwanese Christians who love freedom and who were worshipping freely on a quiet Sunday afternoon.
That a Chinese nationalist attacked peaceful Taiwanese Americans in a church should outrage everyone. But the Biden Administration and its media allies won't say a word because it doesn't advance their agenda. It also risks offending communist China, a major source over the years of big money for the Biden family.
Telling The Truth About Abortion
The radical left is trying to use Justice Samuel Alito's draft opinion overturning Roe v. Wade to get people to forget about skyrocketing inflation, open borders, $4.50-a-gallon gas, soaring crime, food shortages and the supply chain crisis.
Some commentators are predicting that abortion will eclipse all these other issues in the November midterm elections.
But polling shows that voters aren't falling for the left's hysteria, and there is no evidence that the country wants unrestricted abortion throughout all nine months of pregnancy, which is Joe Biden's position.
In fact, it's the exact opposite. The overwhelming majority of Americans support restrictions on abortion. But that's not where the progressive left is today.
In recent weeks, progressive leaders forced votes in the House and the Senate on the most extreme pro-abortion legislation in history. The so-called "Women's Health Protection Act" has nothing to do with health care. It's about protecting abortion on demand and repealing every pro-life state law in the country.
Again, the American people reject such a radical approach dictated from Washington, D.C.
That's why I am pleased to report that American Values has partnered with the Susan B. Anthony List, the premier pro-life organization in the country to run TV ads exposing the left's pro-abortion extremism. You can watch the ad here. This is what your generous support enables us to do.
I am also talking to pro-life elected officials and candidates who, unfortunately, are on the defensive on the issue. That's absolutely the worst approach. Now is the time to unapologetically make the case for the sanctity of life.
With your prayers and continued financial support, that's exactly what I intend to do!
