Biden vs. Greenwood

You'd have to be a hermit to not be familiar with Lee Greenwood's hit, "God Bless The USA." He wrote the song in 1983 to unite Americans and instill pride in the country.  Ronald Reagan loved the song and played it at the 1984 Republican National Convention. It surged to the top of the charts in the aftermath of 9/11.

Greenwood was appointed to the National Council on the Arts by President George W. Bush. He was reappointed by Barack Obama and by Donald Trump.

But Greenwood was notified yesterday that the Biden Administration will not reappoint him to the Arts Council. Anyone shocked by this is not paying attention.

The Biden Administration has been relentless in purging conservatives from every government board and agency. But Greenwood has two targets on his back.

Not only was he appointed by a Republican president, his anthem is pro-American and anti-globalist. And Joe Biden and the left are all in for globalism. That's why they refuse to defend our borders. That's why they claim America was founded by evil men.

Our Country For A Horse

In the play Richard III, the desperate king says, "A horse! A horse! My kingdom for a horse!" Well, we're watching the modern equivalent -- "A horse! A horse! Our country for a horse" because we're down to a couple of guys on horseback defending America.

The left is doing everything it can to vilify the Border Patrol and to make the agents on horseback the latest example of "racist law enforcement." Rep. Maxine Waters, who never fails to incite, declared yesterday:

"What we witnessed takes us back hundreds of years. What we witnessed was worse than what we witnessed with slavery."

Once again, liberals are distorting the truth to portray border security and law enforcement as racist. Reverend Al Sharpton is getting in on the act, too.

But if they are so upset with conditions at the border, they shouldn't blame the Border Patrol. They should blame Joe Biden and demand he act now to secure the border!

Deploy the National Guard. Deploy the Army. Finish the wall!

I look at those agents and see something very different. I find them to be inspiring figures. Yes, I am also troubled by the images, but for the exact opposite reason the left is so upset.

Our Border Patrol agents were on the American side of the Rio Grande, defending our country. Joe Biden and the radical left have so gutted border enforcement that agents on horseback were the last men that day defending American sovereignty.

Think about that.

We have a standing army, with the National Guard and reserves, of just over one million men. What's that million-man force for if not defending our borders?

But even a few guys on horses are too much for the open borders left to tolerate. These agents have been placed on administrative duty. Those "lying, dog-faced pony soldiers" are now desk jockeys for daring to defend our borders.

Sovereignty means the ability to defend a piece of land and its borders, and your ability to govern yourself within that area.

Whether people realize it or not, the southern border of the United States is moving north. Read that again. People who live along the border, not just in Del Rio, but for hundreds of miles, are being told by U.S. authorities, "We can't defend you. We can't protect your property. Maybe it's time for you to move."

Slowly, but surely, we are giving up territory of the United States. Why aren't there mass demonstrations against this?

Stand with me now to stop the radical open borders agenda!

Other Horses

Immediately after 9/11, we sent a small team of Special Forces into Afghanistan to destabilize the Taliban and track down Osama bin Laden, while we built up our forces for a bigger invasion.

But these Special Forces were the first troops in, and their efforts were truly heroic. What captured the imagination of the American people, and even Hollywood, is that they fought the enemy on horseback.

We were so confident of who we were then, even in the rubble of 9/11, that we extended our values with heroes on horseback.

Now 20 years later, we've been reduced to a few guys on horses trying to defend, not Afghanistan's border, but the border of the United States. And now those agents are under attack by our own government.

I'm proud to say I worked for a president who was a natural on horseback. Today, our president rides a bicycle – with a mask on. If you want to mark America's decline, just follow the horses.

By the way, President Biden today banned the use of horses at the border. I suppose we should be glad he didn't order the horses to be shot.

Again, why do we use horses in law enforcement? For crowd control. And the crowds at the border are out of control. Just one more example of Biden handcuffing the Border Patrol and making the problem worse.

Biden To The Border?

You'll recall that Kamala Harris was dogged for months by the fact that she had not visited the border in her official capacity as "Border Czar." So, she finally went to a location hundreds of miles from the epicenter of the crisis.

Well, now we're learning that Joe Biden has never visited the southern border. Surely that can't be right! We're still waiting for the White House to nail it down.

Maybe they will tell us he went to the border when he was a truck driver or on one of his many train trips

Oh wait – it must have been when he was on his way to meet Nelson Mandela at the border but got arrested before he got there. Did he fight the notorious gang leader Corn Pop at the southern border?

Whatever border visit the White House manages to manufacture will surely be very believable . . . NOT!

And So It Begins

In the name of compassion, we evacuated more than 100,000 Afghans from Kabul. At least 60,000 have been brought into the United States. Presumably, they were vetted enough to ensure they weren't on a list of known terrorists, although that seems to be debatable. Very, very few of them -- about 3% -- have authorized "special immigrant visas."

But none of them -- none of them -- were vetted to ensure that their beliefs are consistent with cultural life in the United States. Thousands of these Afghans, unvetted for their worldview, are being housed on military bases awaiting distribution throughout the country. Presumably, they're on their best behavior on the military bases.

But two Afghans at Fort McCoy in Wisconsin were charged yesterday with violent crimes. One is accused of sex crimes against multiple girls under 16. The other tried to strangle his wife to death . . . while they're on a military base!

The Pentagon admitted yesterday that it is aware of issues at "various military bases," including reports of women being harassed by former Afghan soldiers.

This is exactly the same thing that many European countries experienced several years ago during large waves of migration from countries where radical Islamic ideas are prevalent. There are now areas of European cities where non-Muslim women cannot go out after dark.

If the two Afghans are found guilty, they face long prison sentences. But liberal Wisconsin politicians will likely let them out early to stop the spread of COVID in the jails.

Still Struggling

There's more bad news for Joe Biden. He just recorded a new low in Gallup's polling – just 43% of Americans approve of his job performance, while 53% disapprove. Only 37% of Independents approve of Biden's performance, down 24 points since January.

Meanwhile, a new Rasmussen poll finds that if the election were held today, Donald Trump would beat Biden 51% to 41%. And he would defeat Kamala Harris 52% to 39%.
