Biden's Segregation Slanders

President Joe Biden went to Constitution Hall in Philadelphia yesterday, supposedly to talk about voting rights. Instead, he desecrated that sacred place by engaging in raw race baiting and labeling his opponents as "bigots" and "domestic enemies."

It won't be long before the Chinese communists are quoting President Biden to defame America. Biden denounced efforts to secure the integrity of our elections as Jim Crow laws. Just consider these excerpts:

"The 21st century Jim Crow assault is real. It's unrelenting. . . It's the most dangerous threat to voting and the integrity of free and fair elections in our history. . .

"There is an unfolding assault taking place in America today -- an attempt to suppress and subvert the right to vote in fair and free elections, an assault on democracy, an assault on liberty, an assault on who we are. . . bullies and merchants of fear and peddlers of lies are threatening the very foundation of our country. . .

"I swore an oath to . . . to defend America against all threats both foreign and domestic. The assault on free and fair elections is just such a threat, literally.

"I've said it before: We're facing the most significant test of our democracy since the Civil War. That's not hyperbole. Since the Civil War. The Confederates back then never breached the Capitol as insurrectionists did on January the 6th."

As my good friend Bill Bennett put it, "The president of the United States and his staff don't know any history." Here's a reality check:

·     Jim Crow laws were passed by white Democrats in the late 1800s and early 1900s.

·     Those laws segregated America. Blacks could not use water fountains, restaurants or public schools designated for whites.

·     Democrat Woodrow Wilson segregated the federal government and the military.

·     It was the party of Abraham Lincoln, the Republican Party, that opposed Jim Crow laws.

And what exactly are the voting laws Biden is comparing to Jim Crow laws?

·     They require everyone, regardless of race, to show an ID to vote. (This extremely popular position is supported by the vast majority of Americans. Why are liberals so opposed to it?)

·     They try to reestablish an Election Day instead of an Election Month.

·     They try to stop ballot harvesting, a totally unsecure process (here and here) where one person collects hundreds of other people's ballots.

·     And in Texas, they're trying to stop 24-hour drive-thru voting.

None of these laws are about race. They are about stopping illegal voting. But Joe Biden is telling minority Americans that their right to vote is somehow in danger.

A Final Point

Biden's rhetoric about the Confederacy, "insurrectionists" and "domestic enemies" is what you would expect from petty tyrants.

Yes, there is an unfolding assault against America taking place today. Yes, there are people lying about America and threatening the very foundation of our country. Biden is right about all that.

But the threat to our country is coming from the Marxists pushing critical race theory and the radicals seeking to "fundamentally transform" America.

The left falsely accused Trump of colluding with Putin. Biden is doing Putin and Xi's bidding! Their number one goal is to see America divided and plunged into anarchy.

If Biden continues to constantly defame and slander anyone who opposes his socialist agenda as a "segregationist" or an "insurrectionist" or a "domestic enemy," he could destroy the United States.

And this man ran as a "unifier." He should be ashamed.

Cubans Not Welcome

In his strongest statement yet regarding the border crisis, Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas said yesterday that Cubans should not get on a boat and attempt to flee communist Cuba.

Now, I'm not advocating for another Mariel boatlift. I want Cubans to fight for their country and restore liberty there.

But I couldn't help but wonder why Mayorkas was creating a completely different standard for people attempting to escape oppression in Cuba while people from 160 nations are crossing our wide-open southern border in record numbers.

Aren't Cubans fleeing communist oppression the very definition of "refugees"? So why isn't the Biden Administration welcoming Cuban refugees?

The only thing I can think of is that Cuban immigrants stand out because they understand communism and vote for pro-free enterprise, pro-freedom conservative candidates. But surely such brazen politics can't be the answer. Or is it?

China & Cuba

The communist regime in China yesterday issued multiple statements expressing solidarity with the communist regime in Cuba. Beijing declared that Cuba's problems had nothing to do with communism and were the fault of the U.S. boycott of the island. Once again, the Chinese communists sounded a lot like the American left

I couldn't help but notice yesterday that Joe Biden expressed far more anger toward conservatives trying to pass election integrity laws than he has ever expressed toward either communist regime in Beijing or Havana that doesn't allow free elections.

And here's an interesting point raised by Senator Marco Rubio: Has the Biden Administration warned China and Russia against sending special forces to prop up the Cuban regime? If Xi and Putin do send troops, what does anyone think this administration would do about it?

A Shocking Warning

For the past 30 years, the left's interest in the military has been to push radical social experiments and to stop upgrading the weapons systems needed to accomplish the military's main goal – to protect the United States and win our wars.

Now a shocking new report suggests that naval officers have gotten the politically correct message loud and clear. They're going to be judged not on their war-fighting ability but the degree to which they embrace and implement the left's latest goofy ideas.

One of the most disturbing elements of the report is that naval commanders have been browbeaten into "a deep culture of risk aversion." Consider this statement from one lieutenant interviewed for the report:

"Sometimes I think we care more about whether we have enough diversity officers than if we'll survive a fight with the Chinese Navy. It's criminal. They think my only value is as a black woman.  But you cut our ship open with a missile and we'll all bleed the same color."

She's absolutely right!

Sadly, there is growing evidence that we will not have the same caliber of commanders we had in World War II, leaders who knew how to seize the initiative and go on the offensive.

If we're ever in a conflict against communist China and lose a carrier or several ships, no one will feel better about the fact that the crews had the requisite number of women and transgender sailors when they were sunk.

Confronting Communist China

I just returned from the Heritage Foundation, where I had been invited to hear former Vice President Mike Pence deliver a major speech on the challenge from communist China. The auditorium was packed with foreign policy and national defense experts, as well as ambassadors from more than a dozen countries.

Pence's speech was a grand slam home run. He reminded the audience of what the Trump/Pence Administration did over the last four years to counter communist China, and he indicted the weakness of the Biden Administration.

It's no secret that Pence is a strong supporter of free enterprise and American business. So, it was all the more extraordinary to hear him go after U.S. companies by name for being in bed with communist China.

He singled out Nike as well as others, saying it was time these companies answered a very basic question: Are you an American company or a Chinese company?

By the way, on this very serious subject of communist China, Pence made an interesting and encouraging observation: On any given Sunday, it's estimated that there are more people worshipping in underground Chinese churches than there are members of the Chinese Communist Party.
