Cultural Chaos

The chaos in Congress is dominating the headlines today, and I’ll address that issue in a moment.  But there are far more damaging things happening in America that we should be focused on. 

The Republic will survive the temporary chaos caused by a sudden change of leadership in the House of Representatives.  We won’t survive the collapse of norms and values that have defined this country and Western Civilization for centuries.

For example, the entire month of June apparently isn’t enough for the LGBTQ crowd.  Now, they’re claiming October as LGBTQ History Month.  Why a history month, too?  It’s just another excuse to push this radical agenda in the government-run schools to indoctrinate our children.

The Los Angeles Unified School District is planning an entire week of activities for “National Coming Out Day” later this month.  There are lesson plans circulating all the way down to the elementary schools. 

Ponder that.  Teachers are going to explain homosexuality and who knows what else to little kids and encourage them to “come out” as gay, lesbian or transgender. 

One of the items on the agenda is to ensure that a prominent transgender individual speaks to children in their class, further exposing little children to this gender insanity.

That’s what education officials think is really important to expose our children to.  I wonder how often the Los Angeles school system brings police officers or veterans into the classroom.

There is also an “identity map” for children that connects characteristics like “race,” “gender identity” and “sexuality.”  How are these things connected?  Well, that’s called “intersectionality,” and it’s how the neo-Marxist left enforces ideological groupthink.

This is what’s happening in Los Angeles, the City of Angels, which may have the most ironic name of any city in America.  Not long ago, the city’s baseball team thought it was a really good idea to honor the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a group of drag queens mockingly dressed as nuns, at the team’s gay Pride Month celebration.

The level of indoctrination in virtually every school district in America, should make us angry.  But it should also scare us to death.  This is the stuff of societal collapse!

Only 54% of students in Los Angeles are proficient in English.  Even fewer, just 29%, are proficient in math.  Yet the educational and political establishment of Los Angeles is dedicated to an attack on normalcy and the Natural Law. 

I can hear some people saying, “Gary, it’s just one school district in California.  Big deal.”  That’s a mistake. 

This is one of the largest school districts in America.  These students will graduate and move to communities all over the country.  They will soon be voters deciding future policies for the country your children and grandchildren are growing up in. 

If we’re going to save America, we must stop this insanity.  We must fight and win the culture war!

Middle East Meddling

The foreign policy “genius” of Joe Biden is on full display yet again.  Reports in Israeli media indicate that the Biden White House is sabotaging peace talks between Israel and Saudi Arabia by insisting that Israel make concessions to the Palestinians, who aren’t part of the talks. 

Further complicating matters is Biden’s desire to reopen a Jerusalem-based consulate as a quasi-embassy to the Palestinian Authority, which is demanding half of Jerusalem as an “appetizer” until it can eventually gobble up the entire Jewish state.  No Israeli government is going to agree to divide Jerusalem.

Last week, the House of Representatives demonstrated its solidarity with Israel by approving a resolution prohibiting the Biden Administration from moving the U.S. Embassy out of Jerusalem.  The vote was 360-to-67.  All “No” votes came from Democrats, including Nancy Pelosi.

Congress had passed legislation to move the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem decades ago.  Presidents of both parties promised to do it, but failed to do it.  Donald Trump got it done. 

Open Borders Nightmare

Just a little over 100 miles south of the Canadian border lies the small Minnesota town of Bemidji, home to about 15,000 people.  Sadly, because of Joe Biden’s neo-Marxist policies, diversity, equity, inclusion and open borders have come to Bemidji, with devastating results.

Police in Bemidji recently raided a “house of horrors” where they discovered multiple young women were being held hostage and gang raped.  One victim was only 11 years old.  Among those arrested at the house were at least 11 illegal aliens.  Is this “doing the jobs Americans don’t want”? 

Thanks to Joe Biden our northern border is also experiencing record illegal immigration.

The illegal aliens arrested in Bemidji were handed over to the Department of Homeland Security.  That’s hardly reassuring given Biden’s record-low deportations.  I wonder where these criminals will be resettled?

The left claims that “diversity makes us stronger.”  There’s nothing wrong with diversity, but it’s shared values that make a society strong.

By the way, the same nightmare is happening all over Europe.  Migrants are committing the vast majority of violent crimes in Paris.  Between 2016 and 2021, the number of rapes in France more than doubled.

Sweden was once well-known for its sexual liberalism.  Yet, there were very few rapes, until Sweden went all in on “diversity, equity and inclusion,” not to mention lax immigration laws.  Now Swedish officials are calling out the army to combat violent Islamic gangs.

Western Civilization is in a complete meltdown.  The barbarians aren’t just at the gates – they are well past them.  Maybe someone should pull a fire alarm like Rep. Jamaal Bowman did, only this one would be to alert us to a real “fire.”

History in the House

History was made yesterday in the House of Representatives when Speaker Kevin McCarthy was voted out of office after a revolt led by Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida.

Wherever you stand on this issue, we all need to take a deep breath -- especially the hosts of Fox and Friends.  Their hyperventilating over yesterday’s vote completely misses the big picture. 

Sure, we’ve never seen a speaker voted out so quickly.  But we have also never seen what is happening to our country before. 

We have never seen six million illegal aliens invade our country, and no one in government has an answer. 

We’ve never spent $7 trillion in one year before, and there’s no solution to getting our unsustainable spending under control. 

We’ve never before told our children that they may be in the wrong body and that they should sterilize and mutilate themselves.

The neo-Marxists doing this to us are doing all kinds of unusual things every single day.  And business as usual has failed.  Miserably!

We should be seeing all kinds of unusual things happening in government because we’re facing all kinds of unusual emergencies. 

Kevin McCarthy is a good man, but he is clearly not up to the task.  Here’s just one example:  Why did he adjourn the House for multiple weeks during the summer with so much unfinished business on the table? 

If only the rest of us could take a six-week break!

Wouldn’t you love to stop the indoctrination of your kids for six weeks? 

Wouldn’t you love to see six weeks when we didn’t increase the deficit? 

Wouldn’t you love to have just six weeks when we’re not sending billions to Ukraine?

Wouldn’t you love to see six weeks when the border wasn’t being overrun with illegal aliens?

How I would love to have six weeks with no abortions!

But Fox News and the Wall Street Journal are worried that replacing the Speaker of the House will hurt the Republican Party. 

The Republican Party? 

What about America?!

I don’t lose sleep over the Republican Party.  But I do lose sleep over the very real prospect that we may lose our country to the neo-Marxist left. 

Who is going to do something about that?!

By the way, kudos to Acting Speaker Patrick McHenry, whose first order of business was to kick Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer out of their private “hideaway” offices in the Capitol Building. 

Why did McCarthy even allow them to keep these special offices in the first place?  Did he think it would earn him some goodwill from progressives? 

Pelosi launched two impeachments against Donald Trump.  She doesn’t deserve a broom closet in the Capitol Building!

What’s Next

House Republicans have some serious soul searching to do.  The hour is late indeed.

As of this writing, Majority Leader Steve Scalise and Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan have announced their intention to run for speaker.  Rep. Kevin Hern, leader of the Republican Study Committee, is reportedly interested as well.  The vote is expected to take place next week, most likely on Wednesday.

One interesting name that has been put forth by multiple House Republicans is former President Donald Trump, as there is no requirement that the speaker be a sitting member of the House.

When asked about the possibility of serving as speaker, Trump said, “We’ll do whatever is best for the country. . . I’ll do whatever [I can] to help.”
