Maduro Out
Americans woke up Saturday morning to the extraordinary news that President Trump had ordered a military operation to remove Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro and bring him to the United States to face justice. President Trump announced the operation on his Truth Social platform, writing:
“The United States of America has successfully carried out a large-scale strike against Venezuela and its leader, President Nicolas Maduro, who has been, along with his wife, captured and flown out of the Country. This operation was done in conjunction with U.S. Law Enforcement.”
The indictment against Maduro is 25 pages long and was issued by a grand jury in the Southern District of New York. Among other things, Maduro is accused of cooperating with vicious drug cartels to poison American citizens.
This “cooperation” involved direct support from the Venezuelan government under Maduro’s direction. In some ways, this “strike” was a legal operation, but it had to be carried out with military precision. In addition, Venezuela’s Marxist regime has allowed the Iranian-backed terrorist group Hezbollah to operate freely in Venezuela for decades.
The Greatest Military
The U.S. military performed at an extraordinary level because they have new leadership. Our forces went into the middle of Caracas. More than 150 different aircraft supported the operation. U.S. Special Forces operated with unbelievable skill.
We captured Maduro and his wife and extricated them from the country. Two American soldiers were wounded. None were killed. No American military equipment was lost. I can’t imagine an anti-American dictator who is sleeping well tonight.
Freedom Dominoes
The successful capture of Maduro happened at the same time as some sort of popular uprising in Iran and rumors of unrest in Cuba, which was propped up by Maduro.
Are we going to see something that could be called “freedom dominoes”?
The reference is to the Vietnam War when the pressure to withdraw was building. Many analysts argued that if Vietnam fell to the communists, there would be a “domino effect” leading to other Southeast Asian nations falling as well.
But could we see the opposite now? If Venezuelans could regain their democracy and their freedom with three more years of Donald Trump in office, it’s not hard to imagine other authoritarian regimes collapsing as freedom spreads.
To be clear, I am not advocating for the U.S. military to get bogged down in wars like Iraq. Donald Trump doesn’t want that either.
A Socialist Warning
Venezuela was once the richest nation in Latin America and one of the richest in the entire world. Sadly, it was seduced by the siren song of socialism and was turned into a basket case.
Ninety-one percent (91%) of Venezuelans live in poverty, and 67% live in extreme poverty. One quarter of the country’s population has fled, with many Venezuelans coming to the United States.
President Trump has given the people of Venezuela the chance to recover their freedom.
Now ponder this: When America’s current leading socialist, Zohran Mamdani, got word of what was happening in Venezuela, he literally called President Trump and berated him. So, America’s leading socialist berates the president for bringing Venezuela’s leading socialist to justice.
What a world!
Additional Observations
- Elon Musk immediately announced that the Venezuelan people will have free access to Starlink so they can freely communicate with one another.
- Trump demonstrated that he is still the funniest guy in American politics by referring to the Monroe Doctrine and deadpanning that some are suggesting it should be called the “Donroe Doctrine.”
- Venezuelans in America broke out in spontaneous celebrations in Florida and other places, while American socialists broke out in protests in New York City, Philadelphia, and other cities.
- On the day of Maduro’s extraction, a delegation from communist China was in Venezuela meeting with Maduro and other top leaders. I wonder what they were there for.
“A Second Front”
Within minutes of the news breaking that something was happening in Caracas, a “network of self-described socialist, communist, and Marxist organizations” immediately swung into action, organizing protests and spreading anti-American propaganda. They were launching a “second front” inside America.
Many of these groups are connected to and funded by Neville Roy Singham, a billionaire shill for communist China and supporter of Maoism. He is married to Jodie Evans, founder of the far-left group Code Pink.
I hope FBI Director Kash Patel is actively monitoring these groups. The barbarians are inside the gates!
Oh, The Irony!
As soon as the news of Maduro’s capture broke, the No Kings movement and its various allies took to the streets. And what were the leftists who claim Trump is acting like a king demanding? Yep! The return of a dictator to power.
Strange Bedfellows
Did you notice something else? Every anti-Israel, pro-Palestinian group in the U.S. issued statements condemning Maduro’s arrest by U.S. forces.
Here it is, once again, the Red/Green alliance—the Marxist/Islamist alliance that is cooperating all over Europe and here in the Western Hemisphere. It is united on one thing—its desire to bring down Western/Judeo-Christian Civilization. Every Marxist, socialist, and Islamist must be protected against “American imperialism” and Israel.
So, we see Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah, and the Democrat National Committee issuing statements condemning the president and defending Maduro. What a revealing moment to help you understand the day-to-day flow of news and the battle raging in the world between freedom and slavery.
Mamdani’s Marxist Message
Speaking of radical socialists, Zohran Mamdani was sworn in as mayor of New York City on New Year’s Day. His inaugural address was shocking in its anti-Americanism. Here are a few excerpts:
“Thank you to the man whose leadership I seek most to emulate, who I am so grateful to be sworn in by today—Senator Bernie Sanders. . . Beginning today, we will govern expansively and audaciously. . .
“To those who insist that the era of big government is over, hear me when I say this—no longer will City Hall hesitate to use its power to improve New Yorkers’ lives. . .
“We will replace the frigidity of rugged individualism with the warmth of collectivism. . . I was elected as a Democratic socialist and I will govern as a Democratic socialist.”
Nobody has promoted collectivism in America since the 1920s and 30s. That’s straight out of Marxism and fascism! Just ask the people of Venezuela, Cuba, and North Korea about the “warmth of collectivism.”
The danger here is not just that Mamdani is mayor of New York City. The danger is that he represents the rising wing of the Democrat Party. This is who they are—socialists and Marxists.
When President Trump described Katie Wilson, Seattle’s new mayor, as “a very, very liberal slash communist mayor,” Wilson didn’t deny it. She said, “It’s nice to feel seen.”
Don’t miss what’s happening here.
A surprising number of Democrat leaders immediately came to Nicolas Maduro’s defense and accused President Trump of “war crimes” and impeachable offenses. (Here, here, and here.) This mindset is dangerous, and it’s gaining power. These Democrats are aligning themselves with our enemies and Maduro’s allies—communist China, Iran, Russia, Hezbollah, etc., etc.
It also shows you that this battle is not just between two parties with some significant differences, but whether we will go the way of Venezuela or remain the free country our Founders created.
Personnel Is Policy
Mayor Mamdani wasted no time in demonstrating his radical instincts. He immediately repealed orders recognizing a widely accepted definition of antisemitism, banning boycotts against Israel, and requiring police to increase patrols around churches, synagogues, and mosques. The Israeli Foreign Ministry blasted Mamdani, declaring:
“On his very first day as New York City mayor, Mamdani shows his true face: He scraps the IHRA definition of antisemitism and lifts restrictions on boycotting Israel. This isn’t leadership. It’s antisemitic gasoline on an open fire.”
Don’t think it’s just one crazy guy who is running New York City. Mamdani is empowering other radicals just like him.
- Mamdani appointed Ramzi Kassem to be New York City’s chief legal counsel. Kassem has previously defended Al Qaeda terrorists and Columbia University’s pro-Hamas agitator Mahmoud Khalil.
- He appointed Cea Weaver as the new director of the Office to Protect Tenants. In the past, Weaver has supported the election of communists to public office, called for private property to be seized, and declared that “homeownership is a weapon of white supremacy.”
- Mamdani also appointed several Democrat Socialists of America organizers to key positions in his administration.
That’s who is now running New York City.
In addition, Governor Kathy Hochul just ordered 16 New York landmarks to be lit up in green for Muslim American Heritage Month. One of these iconic sites is One World Trade Center, built after the Islamic terror attack on 9/11 that destroyed the World Trade Center towers. By the way, does New York celebrate a Christian American Heritage Month?
