Resisting Democracy
The dismissal of charges against former FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James is another example of the Left’s resistance against democracy and the will of the American people.
Left-wing judges, pretending to interpret the law, are subverting democracy by preventing Donald Trump from doing what he was elected to do.
A Clinton-appointed judge dismissed the cases “without prejudice,” alleging that the U.S. attorney was “inappropriately appointed.” The important point to keep in mind is that the judge’s decision was a technical ruling about procedure. It had nothing to do with the actual merits of cases against Comey and James.
That’s what dismissing “without prejudice” means. The judge found no judicial or legal prejudice against the cases themselves, only that there was a procedural fault with the prosecutor’s appointment.
So, Comey and James are not out of the woods yet. The charges can be refiled, and the Trump administration is appealing the decision.
Trump Tackles “Destructive Ideologies”
Every year, the State Department issues reports on the status of human rights in countries all over the world. The Trump administration has decided to classify certain “destructive ideologies” as human rights violations. According to the Daily Signal, these destructive ideologies include, among other things:
- Sex-change procedures for minors.
- Government-funded abortions.
- Enforcing DEI policies that “provide preferential treatment” to workers on the basis of race, sex, or caste.
This makes all the sense in the world.
The Biden/Harris administration used American foreign policy and foreign aid to force radical left-wing ideology on other nations. If a country didn’t allow abortion on demand, the Biden administration labeled that country as a “violator of human rights” because they believed only one human was involved.
The Trump State Department now reflects the fact that the preborn child is the most “at-risk” human being involved. So, classifying a government paying for the killing of innocent babies as a “human rights violator” makes perfect sense. And it’s an example of something that only a Trumpian administration would do.
A typical Republican administration would just repeal the Biden policy, telling nations, “Okay, we’re going to stop saying that limiting abortion is a human rights violation. We’re getting rid of that.” But it wouldn’t take the second step that the Trump administration is taking of actually classifying government-funded abortion as a human rights violation.
Free Speech Under Fire
Among the “destructive ideologies” the Trump State Department is monitoring are government arrests and administrative penalties for “hate speech.” Of course, the media will spin the State Department’s position as “Trump is forcing nations to allow hate speech.”
But the number one issue with laws that make “hate speech” illegal is who determines what is “hate speech.”
In Europe and the United States, secular globalist-oriented governments define anything that is critical of their globalist secular agenda as “hate speech.” Here’s one example from Great Britain.
Last year, a British citizen of Rwandan descent brutally murdered three young girls. Because of his background, rumors spread that the killer was an illegal migrant. Reacting to this news, a British woman posted an inflammatory message on social media calling for mass deportations. She quickly regretted her post and deleted it, thinking that was the end of it. It wasn’t.
Days later, she was arrested and charged with inciting racial hatred. She was sentenced to more prison time than some rapists and pedophiles. She was also put on an offender registry and banned from traveling to the United States to testify about the threat to free speech in Great Britain.
The Left is consumed with an authoritarian desire to stifle free speech, make conservative ideas unspeakable, and shut down debate.
If you say marriage is the union of a man and a woman, that’s “hate speech.” If you say our borders should be secure, that’s “hate speech.” If you say children shouldn’t be sterilized and mutilated, that’s “hate speech.”
If you say COVID came from a lab in Wuhan, China, that’s “hate speech.” If you say Hunter Biden’s laptop is real, that’s “Russian disinformation.” If you say children shouldn’t be indoctrinated in school, you’re a potential “domestic terrorist.”
On and on it goes.
Vance vs. McConnell
I mentioned yesterday that Ukraine is increasingly on its back and is now facing a massive corruption scandal in the two worst areas possible—energy and defense. Hunter Biden, call your office. Here’s another opportunity for you.
The suffering in the country is incalculable. Europe is still not doing all that it needs to do. So, President Trump is once again trying to negotiate an end to the war, and there are some encouraging signs.
Yet, almost immediately, the Democrats attacked the president’s efforts. Of course, they attack anything the president tries to do. But even some Republicans we have not heard from recently, like Sen. Mitch McConnell, also attacked the president’s efforts.
Vice President J.D. Vance responded to these attacks on X. He wrote:
“The political class is really angry that the Trump administration may finally bring a four-year conflict in Eastern Europe to a close. . . But the level of passion over this one issue when your own country has serious problems is bonkers. It disgusts me. Show some passion for your own country.”
Poll Position
A new poll finds J.D. Vance has a commanding lead among New Hampshire GOP voters. In a hypothetical 2028 primary, it’s Vance 57%, Marco Rubio 9%, and Ron DeSantis 7%. Rubio has said publicly that he will not challenge Vance if he runs.
All of which leads me to the “bold” prediction (just kidding about it being bold) that no Republican will be nominated in 2028 who is not completely committed to the Make America Great Again agenda.
Among Democrat primary voters, Pete Buttigieg leads Gavin Newsom 28% to 24%, followed by Kamala Harris at 6%.
The Seditious Six
All the Democrat politicians who appeared in the outrageous video encouraging sedition within the military are now demanding additional security. They claim their lives are in danger from rabid Trump supporters.
Now, the new senator from Arizona, Democrat Ruben Gallego, is threatening to prosecute anyone in the military who tries to hold Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) responsible for his part in that seditious video.
What we’re seeing from these Democrats is described as “DARVO.” It’s a well-known concept in cases involving sexual misconduct. It’s also one of the mainstream tactics of the Left—Deny, Attack, Reverse the Victim and the Offender. Let’s look at the facts.
- The six congressional Democrats released a disgraceful video putting our military and our country at risk.
- Then, they went on TV to deny that’s what they did. They claimed they were just reminding military personnel of their rights.
- Then they attacked. “How dare Donald Trump accuse us of sedition!”
- Now, they are claiming they need extra security because Trump is putting their lives in danger. So, they reversed the victim—the military and the president—and made themselves the victim instead of the offender.
Our immigration police will tell you that the same thing is happening on the streets all the time.
They will be standing there, and some left-wing radical will throw a bottle of urine on them. The immigration police run after the attacker and tackle them. That’s when all the cameras go on. They’ll claim the attacker did nothing and the immigration police are brutal thugs.
This is the fake narrative that plays out in the media time and time again.
