Trump’s Address

President Donald Trump will address the American people tonight before a joint session of Congress. Technically, this is not a State of the Union speech, but that doesn’t matter. The purpose is the same – to outline the administration’s goals, priorities, and progress.

On his Truth Social platform, President Trump said his speech tonight “WILL BE BIG. I WILL TELL IT LIKE IT IS!” White House officials say the theme of Trump’s address will be “Renewal of the American Dream.”

President Ronald Reagan began the tradition of bringing special guests to the State of the Union. Tonight, Trump’s guests will include:

  • Stephanie Diller, the widow of a police officer killed by an illegal alien.
  • The mothers of Laken Riley and Jocelyn Nungaray, who were killed by illegal aliens.
  • Mark Fogel, a former Russian hostage.
  • Family members of Corey Comperatore, who was killed protecting his family at Butler, Pennsylvania.
  • And other surprise special guests.

Of course, the opposition also brings guests, although the media generally doesn’t focus as much on them. But several liberals have invited fired federal bureaucrats to sit in the gallery tonight, which is very telling. Here’s the hierarchy of people in today’s progressive movement:

  • Category 1: LGBTQ activists.
  • Category 2: Abortion supporters.
  • Category 3: Pro-Ukrainian war advocates.
  • Category 4: Federal bureaucrats.

It will be interesting to see how raucous and obnoxious Democrats are tonight. Will there be more Ukrainian flags than American flags? Will they start chanting, “Zelensky! Zelensky! Zelensky!”? The American people would not like that.

Some far-left politicians are boycotting the president’s speech. Others reportedly plan to storm out in protest when Trump mentions his efforts to protect children from mutilating transgender surgeries. There are reports that others may bring noisemakers, hand clappers, egg cartons, or protest signs.

Who knows what they’ll do? But here’s what you should look for.

Will they refuse to applaud when Trump takes credit for doing in 40 days what Joe Biden failed to do in four years -- securing the border?

Will they sit on their hands when he introduces the family members of American citizens murdered by illegal aliens?

Donald Trump does best, and we do best, when the differences between us and the left are clear and stark. I have no doubt that he will make those stark differences clear tonight, just as he did in last year’s campaign.

President Trump’s address begins tonight at 9:00 PM ET. You can watch it here.

Saving Lives

A few hours before his address tonight, President Trump will meet with seven recently released Israeli hostages at the White House.

Jonathan Dekel-Chen, the father of one of the freed Israeli hostages, said those meeting with President Trump will express their “immense gratitude” to him because they know that without his leadership, they wouldn’t be free today.

Behind The Scenes

Speaking to Sean Hannity last night, Vice President J.D. Vance made it clear that there are a lot of things going on behind the scenes related to the crisis in Ukraine. Here’s how he described it:

“My message to Ukrainians, by the way, to President Zelensky, is when you’ve lost Lindsey Graham, that means you need to come to the negotiating table and recognize Donald Trump is the only game in town. . .

“Here’s the problem with the Europeans, and a lot of these guys are our friends, they’re our allies. . . but they need to be realistic.

“And the craziest part about this, Sean, is that sometimes you’ll have European heads of state who in public will puff up their chest and say, ‘We’re in it with President Zelensky for the next 10 years.’ And then in private, they’ll pick up the phone and say, ‘This can’t go on forever. He has to come to the negotiating table.’

“So, I honestly don’t care what the Europeans say in public. What I care about is what they say in private. And what they need to be saying to President Zelensky is, ‘This can’t go on forever. The bloodshed, the killing, the economic devastation, it’s making everyone worse off.’”

Message Received?

It seems President Zelensky may have gotten that message. In a statement this morning, he claimed:

“Ukraine is ready to come to the negotiating table as soon as possible. . . My team and I stand ready to work under President Trump’s strong leadership to get a peace that lasts. . .

“We do really value how much America has done to help Ukraine maintain its sovereignty and independence. And we remember the moment when things changed when President Trump provided Ukraine with Javelins. We are grateful for this. [In Trump’s first term, the Javelin anti-tank missiles Trump gave Ukraine stopped Putin’s invasion.]

“Our meeting in Washington, at the White House on Friday, did not go the way it was supposed to be. It is regrettable that it happened this way. It is time to make things right. . .

“Regarding the agreement on minerals and security, Ukraine is ready to sign it any time and in any convenient format. We see this agreement as a step toward greater security and solid security guarantees, and I truly hope it will work effectively.”

I pray he is serious this time, but the White House is going to be cautious before they trust him again. Hopefully, Zelensky has been told that meeting with Trump haters in Washington, D.C., before meeting with Trump and Vance doesn’t help his country.

False Signals

Here’s a story that’s not getting the attention it deserves. Over the weekend, multiple flights approaching Reagan National Airport got false signals indicating they were about to crash into another plane. Several pilots aborted their landings because of the warnings.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the cause of the false alerts.

We shouldn’t rule out the possibility that a foreign actor, most likely communist China, has hacked into our traffic control system. There’s no better airport than Reagan National to send a message to members of Congress and the Pentagon that “We can take down your planes if we want to.”

We already know that they have penetrated multiple government agencies under Biden and may be embedded in vital U.S. infrastructure and utilities.

This is why President Trump is trying so hard to end the quagmire in Ukraine. It’s draining us of weapons and resources that we need for the big war that’s right over the horizon with communist China.

A war, by the way, that multiple European nations have said, “We want nothing to do with it.” So, we bankroll their war in Europe while they tell us, “You’re on your own.”

The Left’s War On Women

Last night, Senate Democrats had a chance to demonstrate that they are not a bunch of extremist weirdos with bizarre fringe beliefs. They failed miserably.

Senate Democrats voted unanimously against legislation to protect our daughters and granddaughters from mentally ill men cheating in women’s sports. Not only are they stealing awards, medals, and scholarships from women, they are also seriously hurting women and invading their privacy.

This is not a controversial issue. A recent New York Times poll found that 79% of Americans oppose men cheating in women’s sports, including 67% -- two thirds -- of Democrats!

Who are Senate Democrats representing?

Based on the New York Times poll, at least 31 Democrat senators should have voted to get men out of women’s sports. But not one did. Instead, they voted in lockstep to allow men to beat up women in athletic competitions.

Judicial Tyranny

Two federal district court judges, both Biden appointees, have recently issued restraining orders against President Trump’s overwhelmingly popular efforts to protect children from radical transgender procedures. In one case, the restraining order was applied nationwide.

The Supreme Court better wake up!

Single district court judges making nationwide decisions are not only usurping the president’s authority, they are also making the Supreme Court disappear right before our eyes.

Why do we need a Supreme Court if you can convince one district court to do your bidding?

Chief Justice John Roberts prides himself on being an institutionalist. He’s disappointed us on occasion because he cares more about preserving the “integrity of the court” and its special role in American law and history.

Well, the institution of the Supreme Court is being sliced and diced by the left -- the same left that has threatened to pack his court with 100 justices, if necessary. Chief Justice Roberts had better get a clue soon.
