Trump Celebrates The Bible
I recently told you about an incredible event taking place this week in Washington, D.C., called America Reads the Bible. Nearly 500 Christian leaders from all walks of life are reading every verse of the Bible in honor of America’s 250th birthday. Appropriately, the event is being held at the Museum of the Bible.
This evening, a very special guest is joining the lineup of readers—President Donald Trump. He will read the famous passage from 2 Chronicles chapter 7:
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

Trump’s Statement
President Trump also released a special statement recognizing God’s role and the Bible’s influence on America’s founding and our history. He cited one of America’s first laws, the 1787 Northwest Ordinance, which states that “Religion, morality, and knowledge, being necessary to good government and the happiness of mankind, schools and the means of education shall forever be encouraged.”
Today, radical teachers start foaming at the mouth at the idea of posting the Ten Commandments in classrooms or protecting children from LGBTQ indoctrination. But, clearly, our Founding Fathers had no concerns about religion in schools. Teaching religion and morality was the point of our schools!
President Trump’s statement reminds the American people of the many ways that the Bible and Christianity influenced previous presidents in our history.
It was our first president, George Washington, who began the tradition of presidents placing their hand on the Bible when they take the oath of office during their inauguration. Washington even kissed the Bible after he took the oath.
In his second inaugural address, President Abraham Lincoln quoted the Bible four times, referred to God 14 times, and invoked the power of prayer three times.
President Franklin Roosevelt led the nation in prayer for our soldiers on D-Day. He prayed that God would give them strength as they fought to “preserve our Republic, our religion, and our civilization.” He also prayed, “Help us, Almighty God, to rededicate ourselves in renewed faith in Thee in this hour of great sacrifice.”
President Ronald Reagan proclaimed 1983 as the Year of the Bible because no other book had a “more fundamental and enduring” influence on the formation of our country.
I am not aware of any other president in the last 100 years who has done anything like this. President Donald Trump is teaching the American people about God’s hand in our history, something the left-wing teachers’ unions refuse to do. In fact, they purposely distort our history of reliance on God as part of their effort to rip America out of the rich soil of our Christian heritage.
In a recent interview, Dr. Ben Carson said, “The Left has tried very hard to erase the signature of God from the development of our country.” He’s right, and Donald Trump is pushing back!
While some people obsess over his social media posts, the president and his team continue to do everything they can to educate the American people that without God there would be no America. And that gets no attention by the media.
The Real Extremists
Now that we’re in another election year, Democrats and the left-wing media enablers are hyperventilating about “MAGA extremists.” They ought to look in the mirror. The Democrat Party has become a freak show!
In Maine, Democrats are on the verge of nominating someone who wouldn’t win a race for dog catcher in any previous era. Graham Platner, who is running for the U.S. Senate, has described himself as a “communist.” He has a Nazi tattoo. He said all cops are “bastards.”
In Michigan, Democrat Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, another Marxist Muslim, openly campaigns with Israel-hating, America-hating Hasan Piker. El-Sayed claims Israel is “just as evil as Hamas.”
He’s also making headlines for mocking Vice President J.D. Vance’s children. It’s so disgusting I don’t want to repeat what he said. But if any Republican said anything remotely similar about a Democrat’s children, his career would be over.
By the way, Michigan’s Dearborn Democrats just nominated a candidate for the University of Michigan Board of Regents who praised Hezbollah and called Jews “demons.”
Texas Democrat Senate candidate James Talarico claims the Bible promotes abortion, and he insists that men can get pregnant.
Billionaire Tom Steyer, the leading Democrat in the race for governor of California, is vowing to arrest federal immigration police and put them in prison. From the Civil War to segregation and now immigration, Democrats are hellbent on violating federal law.
Democrat Lutheran minister Sarah Trone Garriott is running for Iowa’s Third Congressional District. She said the biggest lesson she learned after the 9/11 jihadist attack on America was that Americans are Islamophobic. When asked to deliver the opening prayer at the Iowa legislature, she gave an Islamic prayer.
Now, we’re learning that she also participated in the wedding of two Satanists. Who knows—she may go up in the polls given where the Democrat voter base is these days.
In Virginia, Democrats elected an attorney general who fantasized about conservatives holding their murdered children to “teach them a lesson” about “gun control.”
I know some conservatives are frustrated that Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Leader John Thune haven’t done this or that. We need to pause for a moment and appreciate what the Republican majorities are preventing the socialist Democrats from doing to us.
If the GOP did nothing but be a firewall against the Left’s insanity that would be valuable!
Murphy Cheers America’s Enemy
Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy (D) is one of the most left-wing, anti-Israel members of Congress. He attacked President Trump at a gathering of socialists and Marxists in Barcelona, Spain, this past weekend.
Murphy has made no secret of his opposition to President Trump’s military campaign against the radical Iranian regime. But now, he’s openly cheering for Iran and against the United States Navy.
Reacting to Iranian propaganda on social media that at least 26 Iranian ships had evaded the U.S. naval blockade of Iranian ports, Murphy responded, “Awesome.”
That is beyond disgusting! Murphy should resign in disgrace! He is giving aid and comfort to the enemy. His response will encourage the regime to dig its heels in and refuse to negotiate. He is prolonging the war.
Evidently, Sen. Murphy cannot separate fact from fiction—27 ships have been turned back by the U.S. blockade.
Smearing Patel
The Atlantic is back to its dirty tricks. The left-wing outlet ran one hit piece hoax after another during Donald Trump’s first term. Now, The Atlantic is going after Kash Patel, alleging that he is a drunk and on the verge of being fired. Of course, all of the “sources” in this report are unnamed.
If there was the slightest shred of evidence that Donald Trump’s FBI director was a drunk, every media outlet in Washington, D.C., would be fighting to get the scoop. But no credible media ran with this story. In fact, Reuters looked into it and couldn’t verify it.
But here’s the biggest red flag of all—the person who wrote the story about Patel is the same media hack who smeared Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearing. She claimed he was part of a “rape gang” that drugged women at parties so they could rape them. It was all lies!
Patel has filed a $250 million lawsuit against The Atlantic for defamation.
The sexual exploits of Eric Swalwell, including his affair with a communist Chinese spy, were an “open secret.” Somehow The Atlantic missed that story. The Swalwell scandal was only exposed when his candidacy threatened the Democrats’ control of California. But the media treats this hit piece on Kash Patel as the “latest breaking development.”
This is another example of why the Democrats’ fixation on “Epstein island” is so hypocritical. The Left owns and promoted the sexual revolution. They mocked traditional moral values and pushed abortion just in case there was an “accident.”
The only people who have been credibly implicated or resigned positions because of their association with Epstein are Democrats, including:
- Bill Gates (Microsoft founder and Democrat mega donor)
- Brad Karp (major Democrat donor)
- Former Sen. Bob Kerrey (D-NE)
- Kathy Ruemmler (former Obama White House Counsel)
- Larry Summers (former Clinton Treasury Secretary)
The Left’s Power Grab
After Democrats swept to power in Virginia last year on a platform of “affordability” and “moderation,” their first priority was a massive power grab for themselves.
They rammed through a radical congressional redistricting proposal that would turn Virginia’s current 6-to-5 Democrat majority in the House of Representatives into a 10-to-1 Democrat supermajority. The plan is so radical that it’s actually illegal.
To pass this hyper-partisan map, Virginia Democrats had to put a constitutional amendment on the ballot, and they called for a special election that is being held today.
Why do they need to amend the state constitution? Because six years ago, Virginia voters overwhelmingly approved a constitutional amendment to prevent exactly what Democrats are doing now. They took redistricting out of the hands of politicians and created an independent redistricting commission.
Five of these new Democrat districts are anchored in the left-wing bastion of Fairfax County, just outside of Washington, D.C. Maybe you’ve heard about the Democrats’ notorious “Lobster District.” These Democrat-dominated districts stretch south and west out of Fairfax County for hundreds of miles, swamping conservative voters in rural areas.
Do you remember the hit populist song from a few years ago, “Rich Men North of Richmond”? It was an indictment of the powerful forces in the state trampling on the little guy.
This extreme redistricting proposal is the result of powerful forces in Richmond using the rich suburbs north of Richmond to suppress the values of normal citizens who live in the rest of Virginia.
We will find out tonight if the Democrats’ radical redistricting amendment passes.
But that’s not all. Virginia Democrats also passed the National Popular Vote Compact. That power grab commits Virginia’s Electoral College votes to the winner of the national popular vote regardless of how the state’s residents vote in a presidential election.
Once again, Democrats are demonstrating their disdain for the Constitution and the votes of American citizens.
Thomas’s Warning
My good friend Justice Clarence Thomas delivered an extraordinary speech at the University of Texas recently. His remarks appropriately focused on the importance of the Declaration of Independence and its relevance to our nation as we celebrate our 250th birthday.
