Fighting For America
There’s no doubt that Donald Trump has transformed the Republican Party. He’s also transformed many Republicans from wimps to warriors who are fighting for America first.
Trump has clearly told his cabinet members to stop playing by the old rules when testifying before Congress. Instead of sitting there quietly while one Democrat after another lies to the American people, Trump’s cabinet secretaries are aggressively fighting back. As a result, there have been some remarkable exchanges in what are usually very dull committee hearings.
Last week, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was grilled by House Democrats over President Trump’s immigration policies. Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) demanded to know what the administration was doing to bring Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a deported gang member and wife beater, back to the country.
“It’s got to be extremely discouraging to be one of your constituents,” Noem said. “To see you fight for a terrorist like this and not fight for them is extremely alarming to me, and I’m sure it is to your constituents.”
Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy was on Capitol Hill recently. One Democrat congresswoman used up her entire time repeating one lie after another and accused the Trump administration of firing 400 air traffic controllers.
When she finished speaking, Duffy said, “Mr. Chairman, there are a lot of falsehoods that were just lodged. If you would give me a moment to respond to five minutes of misinformation, I would be happy to do that.”
Duffy made it clear that the Trump administration has not fired a single air traffic controller. Nor were they allowed to take retirement buyout offers. He also made it clear that the problems plaguing the Federal Aviation Administration didn’t just pop up over the last 120 days. The Biden administration failed to maintain adequate staffing levels over the past four years.
Yesterday, it was Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s turn. Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen (D) attacked Rubio for deporting “Maryland man” Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the Left’s patron saint of open borders. Rubio fired back:
“In the case of [Garcia], absolutely, absolutely, we deported gang members, including the one you had a margarita with. And that guy is a human trafficker, and that guy is a gangbanger.”
Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA) blasted the Trump administration for admitting white Afrikaners from South Africa into America as refugees. Kaine accused the Trump administration of having a race-based refugee policy that favored whites. Rubio replied:
“I’m not the one arguing that, apparently you are because you don’t like the fact that they’re white. . . You’re the one that’s talking about the color of their skin, not me.”
Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., was also on Capitol Hill yesterday. After Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA) berated him for several minutes, Kennedy didn’t hold back, saying:
“I want to point out something, senator. You presided here, I think, for 32 years. You presided over the destruction of the health of the American people. Our people are now the sickest people in the world because you have not done your job. . . What have you done about the epidemic of chronic disease?”
It’s inspiring and refreshing to see these Trump administration officials boldly standing up to the Left and unapologetically fighting for America first!
The Real Threat
The Supreme Court issued an emergency decision yesterday in an extremely unusual case.
Maine State Rep. Laurel Libby spoke out against transgender athletes stealing sports honors from young women on her personal social media account. Democrats, who control the state House, censured her. But that wasn’t enough for them.
They also banned her from speaking on the House floor and banned her from voting on legislation. As a result, Democrats disenfranchised thousands of Maine voters by gagging their representative and canceling her vote in the legislature.
Libby sued to restore her rights and appealed all the way to the Supreme Court for emergency relief while the merits of the case are debated in lower courts. The Trump Justice Department filed a brief supporting Rep. Libby. Yesterday, the Supreme Court restored her voting rights and her First Amendment right to speak.
The shocking thing is that the court’s decision wasn’t unanimous. Two justices -- Sonia Sotomayor and Ketanji Brown Jackson -- would have allowed Libby to be gagged because leftist politicians didn’t like the commonsense, pro-woman position she took.
They are the real threat to democracy! The intolerant, totalitarian Left wants to silence debate and force you to lie about biological reality.
I hope Justice Amy Coney Barrett takes this case to heart. She voted right this time but has increasingly aligned herself with these two leftist justices on important issues.
Some have suggested she may actually believe that Donald Trump is a danger to democracy. Well, she doesn’t need to look down Pennsylvania Avenue for imagined threats at the White House. She can just look over at her two colleagues to see real threats to democracy. Maybe this decision will wake her up.
Polling Propaganda
There have been several articles from the left-wing media recently claiming, with the flimsiest of evidence, that key parts of Donald Trump’s coalition are eroding away. These articles are often based on polls that purportedly show declining support for Trump and his policies.
That sounds really bad in a narrowly divided country.
Most of these polls are use samples that are described only as “adults.” They’re not likely voters or even registered voters. For all we know, many might not even be citizens. They’re just “adults” living in America, and we do know there are 20 million illegal aliens living in America because of the Left’s open border policies.
Yet the majority of these consistently biased polls still find Trump’s approval rating in the high 40s. No Democrat leader has numbers anywhere close to that.
Well, you can imagine my surprise when a new poll found Trump’s approval rating at 55%. This poll was different from all the others because it surveyed only likely voters – the people who decide the direction of the country.
Far from Trump’s coalition eroding, he is seeing some of the highest numbers he’s ever had.
Failed & Fraudulent
Americans are very upset over the cover-up of Biden’s mental and physical health. The latest Rasmussen poll finds that 72% of voters believe the Biden cover-up is a “serious scandal,” and 63% blame the media for helping to cover up this scandal.
Voters are right to be angry. The Biden presidency wasn’t just a massive failure. It was also a massive fraud!
Axios reports today that the Biden campaign taped a staged town hall event in Delaware. The whole point of this staged event was to get footage that could be made into campaign commercials of Joe Biden appearing to answer questions off-the-cuff and appearing to be cognizant.
It was a disaster. None of the 90 minutes of video of even that staged event was usable.
This was in April 2024. But the cover-up continued for another two months until Biden’s epic debate meltdown during the June presidential debate exposed the shameful charade.
It wasn’t just “one bad episode.” He wasn’t just suffering from a “bad cold.” Virtually everyone around him knew he was incapacitated. Yet they still tried to pass him off as a plausible president.
People should be in jail!
