The Culture War
They are still coming after our children!
In Burlington, Massachusetts, middle school students as young as 11 were subjected to a disgusting sex survey. Even students whose parents had opted them out were given the survey.
Students were asked what their “gender identity” was. Just in case they weren’t familiar with the term, the survey explained that “gender identity is how you see yourself . . . as a male, female, a mix or both, or neither.”
I’ll spare you the survey’s explanation of “intercourse,” except to note that it was updated this year “to be more inclusive of the LGBTQ+ community.” Remember the time when all they were asking for was “tolerance”?
The school district insisted it was committed to “the well-being of all students,” but Democrats dominate the state. Good luck, parents. Call a real estate agent. Figure out how to escape before it’s too late. Quit risking your children because you like the view out of your house.
Denying God
In Cabarrus County, North Carolina, Melanie Freeman, a new member of the school board, proposed a resolution to begin school board meetings with a prayer seeking God’s wisdom. Her fellow board member and former local TV news anchor, Pam Escobar, displayed her “inner” demon.
“How much prayer do you need,” bellowed Escobar. “How much God do you need?” Referring to the teachers and school employees at the board meeting, Escobar said:
“They didn’t come here to pray with you. If you want to pray with them, take them to church. You want to be evangelical and do that? Go for it. But not on my time, not on their time, and not on this community’s time. . . This is not the time or the place. I don’t know why you need prayer to take this job seriously.”
Escobar’s unhinged anger epitomizes the cultural battle in America today. Her “allies” in Massachusetts want to possess the minds of our children, turning them into amoral robots prepared to have sex with anything, anytime, anywhere. Meanwhile, Escobar is fighting hard to keep God out of school board meetings.
We are reminded again that there is a civil war of values raging in America today. And someone will win.
If at some point, we are winning this battle because of who we are and our generous spirit, we will look at the places where we aren’t winning and say, “Well, those people are just lost. Let them go their own way.”
If the Left gets the upper hand, get a lawyer because you will be going to jail. They were already doing it under Joe Biden. They tried to do it to Donald Trump. They want us in jail or in reeducation camps. Remember Hillary’s suggestion about “formal deprogramming” of MAGA supporters?
For all those critical of Donald Trump, and there are plenty of people who are, he is giving us another chance to rescue our country.
Iran Attacks Israel
Yesterday, news broke that Houthi rebels in Yemen hit Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport with a missile strike. That is very disturbing. And that sentence was very deceptive.
The Houthis are a tribal people, an ethnic and religious minority in Yemen. They are not exactly known for their technological expertise. The missile may have been fired from Yemen, but Iran controls the Houthis. Iran hit Ben Gurion Airport.
We’re living in an age where primitive people can get their hands on serious weapons, like missiles and drones, and cause tremendous damage. Experts say we are way behind in drone technology, which is another issue entirely.
By the way, the Houthis were another problem that Joe Biden allowed to fester and grow. Because of Yemen’s location, Houthi attacks on commercial shipping virtually shut down commerce through the Red Sea and the Suez Canal.
Trump’s Big Win
The federal Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia just gave President Trump a big legal victory over the activist judges trying to block his agenda.
President Trump is massively restructuring the federal government. Every department and agency is under review. The president issued an executive order revamping the US Agency for Global Media, which runs Voice of America (VOA). Both entities had gone “woke.”
Administration officials also put 1,300 VOA employees on leave. Of course, a district court judge, acting like he has as much power as the president, blocked the order and demanded that the Trump administration rehire the dismissed VOA employees.
In a 2-to-1 decision, the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the lower court lacked jurisdiction over VOA personnel actions, decisions that belonged to the executive branch. This ruling could easily apply to several cases that have blocked Trump’s actions to cut the size and scope of the federal government.
The jury is still out on the significance of this case, but Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said, “If upheld, this pushback on judicial activism could largely destroy the Left’s judicial coup against Trump’s effort to restore political control of the administrative state.”
There is another case coming up soon that could also go a long way toward reining in rogue judges. On May 15th, the Supreme Court will hear the Trump administration’s request to lift injunctions against the president’s order ending birthright citizenship.
Multiple district court judges issued nationwide injunctions against the order. The administration is asking the justices to “declare that enough is enough before district courts’ burgeoning reliance on universal injunctions becomes further entrenched.”
In its own way, it may be more important to win the argument on limiting lower court injunctions than it is to win the case on the merits of birthright citizenship.
A Creative Solution
With illegal aliens have been virtually blocked at the southern border, the Trump administration is turning its attention to removing illegal aliens already in our country. The easiest option is for illegal aliens to self-deport, and the federal government is offering to “lend a helping hand.”
First a little history. To alleviate the crisis at the southern border, the Biden administration created an app called CBP One. It allowed illegal aliens to “register” online and schedule an appointment with immigration officials. Then, they were flown into the United States by the thousands from their native countries.
The Trump administration immediately shut that app down. After revamping, it’s up and running again, this time helping illegal aliens to get out of our country by self-deporting.
Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem announced today that CBP Home will offer any illegal alien who agrees to self-deport assistance booking a flight and a $1,000 stipend “upon proof of exit.” The total cost of the flight and stipend is estimated to be $4,500.
This is actually a bargain. The cost of arresting, detaining, and deporting an illegal alien is over $17,000.
That actually understates the total savings. White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller said the potential savings are “as much as $1 million per illegal alien family” because of the long-term costs of welfare and public support, courtesy of the taxpayer.
Celebrating America
President Trump is planning a “YUGE” parade in Washington, D.C., on June 14th to celebrate Flag Day and the U.S. Army’s 250th birthday. The parade is part of Trump’s larger vision to restore American greatness and America’s confidence.
Like his commencement speech at the University of Alabama, where Trump told graduates not to be victims but winners, he wants America to be great, and he wants every American to be a winner.
That’s why he has suggested renaming Veterans Day to “Victory Day in World War I.” That’s what it was originally – Armistice Day, marking the end of World War I on November 11, 1918. Over time, it became a day to honor our veterans, as we should, but America’s victory in World War I was forgotten.
President Trump is not disrespecting our veterans. He wants to remind Americans of the wars we have won and the courage, heroism, and sacrifice required to win them.
The plans for the Flag Day parade are unbelievable. Reports indicate the parade will include “more than 6,600 soldiers, over 50 military aircraft, and roughly 150 military vehicles, including tanks, Humvees, and other equipment.”
There will be events on the National Mall all day, featuring military demonstrations, historical reenactors from past conflicts, and a fireworks display. Active-duty personnel and U.S. military academy students will interact with young men and women.
