The Spiritual Battle
Reverend Franklin Graham just did a tutorial on the spiritual war we are in. In a recent interview with CBN, Graham said Satan is “a deceiver” and is doing two things to divide us.
Rev. Graham specifically pointed to the lies that have been and continue to be spread, even by some Christians, regarding the assassination of Charlie Kirk. Pre-trial hearings for Kirk’s killer have been going on this week in Utah. The evidence against Tyler Robinson—including his confession—is overwhelming.
Yet, some people, most prominently Candace Owens, continue to spread lies and conspiracy theories about Charlie’s murder. Most disgusting of all, they are even claiming that his grieving widow, Erika, was somehow involved in her husband’s assassination.
Reverend Graham said the attacks on Erika Kirk are “from the devil,” adding, “It just makes my blood boil.”
The other point Graham made was that Satan wants to lead us into complacency and inaction. He wants Christians to be AWOL in this incredible battle we are in for our faith, our families and our freedom.
I have had the honor of working with Franklin Graham over the years. He was one of the original founders of President Trump’s Faith Advisory Board. He understands the spiritual battle we are in.
And, obviously, one of the major battlegrounds is the public policy arena. I can’t tell you how many Christians, even pastors, have told me, “Gary, I don’t do politics. I just focus on the Gospel.”
The fastest way to lose a war is to refuse to fight it. Christians who avoid politics are surrendering the battlefield to Marxists and Islamists who want to destroy everything we cherish. By not fighting, they are enabling Satan’s work.
Mamdani’s Map
Sometimes little things happen that tell you a lot about who someone is or what a movement is. These little things can be even more revealing than big announcements or events. We just got one of those little things from Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
The Mamdani government in New York City is full of left-wing Marxists and Islamists. There are 50 city departments under the mayor’s control. The city employs approximately 300,000 government workers. That’s not federal bureaucrats or state workers. That’s 300,000 New York City bureaucrats.
By the way, New York City’s budget is $125 billion for its 8.5 million residents. The state of Florida’s budget is $118 billion for 24 million residents.
The mayor’s office put out a map highlighting 30 “Immigrant Enclaves” throughout the city in case tourists want to visit them. There’s a flag for “Little Yemen.” There’s a flag for “Little Pakistan.” There’s a flag for “Little Palestine”—all 7,000 of them.
I’m not really aware of the history of those particular communities in building New York City. But the mayor and his Islamist advisors seem pretty sure that New York City wouldn’t be New York City without them.
Well, it didn’t take long for New Yorkers to notice a few omissions.
There was no “Little Italy.” Nothing on the map to indicate that Italians had any role in the development of the Big Apple, even though there are more than 500,000 ethnic Italians.
And who knew that there are no Irish in New York City? Somebody might want to mention that to all the Irish who participate in the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
There was one more group that was missing. Oh, right, the Jews. They only make up about 12% of the city’s population or about one million people.
Erasing The West
Those who are naïve might be tempted to think that Mamdani’s map mess was just an oversight. They’d be wrong. Mamdani’s office left out the Irish, the Italians and the Jews because their origins are European.
They are part of Western Civilization, which we have all grown up in and prospered in. The civilization brought great art, music and buildings to New York City. The civilization the city is named after. In 1664, King Charles II named the city in honor of his brother, the Duke of York. But to today’s Marxist/Islamist leftist, it’s the wrong tribe.
It is almost impossible to understand what is happening to our country unless we look at things like this. While they erase European and Western history, they replace it with Third World Islamic Marxism.
It’s being done across Europe and here in the United States. And if you dare to point it out, you’re accused of spreading “conspiracy theories.” It may well be a conspiracy, but it’s no theory. It’s a real strategy embraced by the Left.
Consider this: Riots erupted all over America in the aftermath of the tragic death of George Floyd because the Left turned his death into a race narrative even though there was zero evidence race had anything to do with it.
One of the first demands made by the Left was to take down statues of Christopher Columbus. Why? Did George Floyd have some issue with Columbus? Of course not. But the Left never lets a crisis go to waste. It seized the opportunity to attack the West.
And who was one of the first people on social media saying, “Tear Columbus statues down”? That was Zohran Mamdani.
In 2020, the city council of Columbus, Ohio, voted to rename Columbus Day as “Indigenous Peoples’ Day.”
Christopher Columbus discovered America. He was a European explorer inspired by his Catholic faith. There are statues all over the country in his honor, and the Left demands that they be torn down.
Shredding The Constitution
The Democrat Socialists of America (DSA) will formally release a new national platform next week that essentially shreds our Constitution. The new DSA platform will reportedly call for the following “reforms”:

Replacing the presidency with essentially a prime minister who would be “subordinate to Congress.”

Completely replacing the Supreme Court with a judiciary also subordinate to Congress.

Abolishing the Senate.

Abolishing borders.
-
Abolishing prisons.
-
Amnesty and voting rights for illegal aliens.
-
Free healthcare, including abortions and transgender procedures.
Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Zohran Mamdani and other Democrats are part of this organization that wants to rip up our Constitution and “fundamentally transform” America.
More and more “mainstream” Democrats are demanding “radical reform” of the Supreme Court. Their main choice is immediately adding four or five new left-wing justices.
What is the purpose of that? As Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro said, it is to make sure the court is responding to the “voice of the people.” That’s the exact opposite reason for why the court exists!
The Democrat Party and all its various constituencies were totally happy with the Supreme Court from the 1960s until recent years. They were enthralled by the court when it was stopping Bible readings in school, telling us that preborn children were nothing more than Styrofoam cups to be discarded at will and redefining marriage.
They were happy to have the Supreme Court do their dirty work for them by finding things that are not in the Constitution. But now that we have a court that cares about what the Constitution actually says, they denounce it as “illegitimate.”
There is nothing deeply philosophical about this. It’s not a debate where “reasonable people can disagree.” The Marxist/Islamist Left that is taking over the Democrat Party is fundamentally anti-Constitution and un-American.
