Democrats Hate Police
Yesterday morning, federal immigration police attempted to enforce an existing deportation order for 26-year-old Joan Sebastian Guerrero, an illegal alien in Biddeford, Maine. The Colombian national tried to escape in his car. He refused orders to stop and then tried to run over a federal agent. The officer opened fire in self-defense, killing Guerrero.
Of course, the increasingly Marxist Left immediately exploited the shooting. Several candidates vying to replace Graham Platner as the Democrats’ Senate nominee promised to abolish our federal immigration police. Leftists stormed Sen. Susan Collins’s office in Biddeford.
Democrats are constantly demanding a level of due process for illegal aliens that has never been followed in our nation’s history. Due process means different things based on the issue. It does not automatically mean a full court hearing with attorneys.
But House Democrat Leader Hakeem Jeffries immediately convicted the federal immigration police officer. He accused the officer of “brutally killing” the Colombian national “in cold blood.” So, the leader of the party that demands rights for illegal aliens stripped an American law enforcement officer of all his rights.
Just another reminder that one party stands with the people who keep us safe and the other party stands with the people who put us in danger.
Somali Gangs Run Wild
Over the Fourth of July weekend, hundreds of Somali youth went on a crime spree in Minneapolis. This has been a growing problem in Minneapolis. Somali gangs are responsible for 14 murders and more than 100 shootings in the past two years. Ramsey County Sheriff Bob Fletcher has had enough.
Sheriff Fletcher blasted the media for not covering the “out of control” violence being committed by Somali gangs. He warned, “If the community stays in denial about the problem, those 300 kids that are running in the gang circles are going to turn into 900 kids.”
Of course, the sheriff is now being attacked as a “racist” by Somali politicians.
For most of its history, the overwhelming majority of people in Minneapolis were Scandinavian, German, Irish, Lutherans and Catholics. If there are riots in Scandinavian countries today, they are not done by people named “Sven.” They’re done by the same people who were imported into Minneapolis in recent decades by America’s globalists.
Not long ago, the Somali enclave of “Little Mogadishu” in Minneapolis was the radical Islamic terrorist recruiting capital of America.
I don’t know how often we have to say it, but cultures are different, and those differences determine everything. If we keep operating on the lie that all cultures are the same and none are better than others, you can kiss America goodbye.
Speaking Of Cultures. . .
A disturbing new survey from the Pew Research Center finds that 44% of Muslims living in America have a favorable view of Hamas.
There are approximately 4.5 million Muslims in the United States. That means nearly 2 million of them have a favorable view of a vicious, bloodthirsty terrorist organization that slaughtered 1,200 Israelis on October 7, 2023. Hamas also routinely oppresses the people of Gaza and denies them basic human rights.
I’m going to make a wild guess here and say that the percentage of Muslims in Little Mogadishu with a favorable view of Hamas is closer to 90%. Yet we’re constantly told that our fellow Muslim Americans are just like us. Is there any other ethnic group in America where virtually half of it supports an international terrorist organization?
The Left Ruins Everything
Amnesty International began with a wonderful idea—advocating for the release of prisoners of conscience around the world. But like many organizations, the Left took it over and “deformed” it.
Amnesty International’s chapter in the United Kingdom recently published a report identifying groups across Great Britain it viewed as “anti-human rights.” It was a similar concept to the Southern Poverty Law Center’s “hate map.”
It was even more similar in that it targeted conservative groups, pro-life organizations and even shelters for women recovering from sexual abuse. Amnesty UK said these groups were “fighting against human rights.”
Why go after women’s shelters? Because they were founded by author J.K. Rowling, a staunch feminist and advocate for women having safe spaces for women. In other words, no men in the women’s shelter.
After a massive public backlash, Amnesty UK pulled the report, claiming it had not gone through the appropriate editorial process and should not have been published. Sorry, but I’m not buying that. The report never should have been written in the first place!
Sadly, it’s clear that Amnesty UK has been hijacked by leftist ideologues who believe that anyone who refuses to embrace transgender insanity is a Nazi.
Gross Negligence
Yesterday was the second anniversary of the attempt on President Trump’s life in Butler, Pennsylvania. An eighth of an inch was the difference between life and death. Had Trump been killed, we would be in an entirely different country in a very bad way.
Now, we’re learning a bit more about what went wrong that day.
The Department of Homeland Security’s Office of the Inspector General has concluded its investigation. Among the most serious findings is that local law enforcement sent 102 transmissions warning of a suspicious person and the Secret Service missed all of them.
Why? Because it failed to set up a joint communications room with all law enforcement agencies present at the rally. In addition, the Secret Service failed to:

To detect the assassin’s drone flight because an under-trained counter-drone operator was assigned to the rally, and failed to test the equipment the day before as required.

Share intelligence about long-distance threats to Trump with the Pittsburgh Field Office or the lead and site agents, resulting in insufficient law enforcement and security personnel at the rally.

Secure the area outside the perimeter, even though the Pennsylvania State Police told the Secret Service the building where the assassin fired from would be unsecure.

Use available resources to block the line of sight from the building to President Trump, even though this line of sight was a known concern.
We live in a conspiratorial age, and “failures” like these are the sort of things that feed it. The degree of incompetence is evidence of malicious negligence. It’s impossible to believe that the Secret Service is that incompetent!
Saving America’s Story
I want to revisit the White House report on the woke indoctrination at the National Museum of American History. You’re going to hear stories from the leftist media claiming that President Trump is trying to censor or rewrite history. That is “fake news.” Trump is trying to correct the rewrite of our history that the Left has already done.
Vince Haley, the director of the White House Domestic Policy Council, wrote the report. He told Fox News host Laura Ingraham that the museum’s director set out years ago to “problematize the 250 [anniversary] and the Declaration of Independence.”
Haley said that every topic had to be seen through the lens of woke ideology and “brought back to clear ideological categories: race and gender, sexuality, income inequality, climate change.”
The result, Haley said, is “At the end of the day, what you wind up with is no American history at the American History Museum.” But you will find a lot on LGBTQ history.
Graham Saved Kavanaugh
Lindsey Graham’s epic rant during the confirmation hearing for Justice Brett Kavanaugh is going viral. You can watch on my Facebook, Truth Social or X accounts.
In my view, the most important sentence was one Graham made about halfway through his remarks about what motivates the Democrat Party. It’s exactly what we’re dealing with now.
Lindsey Graham looked over to the Democrats and railed against the disgusting smears the Kavanaugh family had been put through. He said to them, “Boy, y’all want power. God, I hope you never get it. I hope the American people can see through this sham.”
Graham finished with a warning to his fellow Republicans, some of whom were getting weak knees. He turned to them and said, “To my Republican colleagues: If you vote no, you’re legitimizing the most despicable thing I have seen in my time in politics.”
Good News
Inflation fell 0.4 percent last month. That may not sound like much but it’s the largest drop since 2020. On an annualized basis, inflation is 3.5%, down from 4.2% in May. Economists had expected an inflation rate of 3.8%.
