Elections Have Consequences
When Hurricane Helen swept through the North Carolina mountains last year, it left tremendous destruction in its wake. Unfortunately, Biden’s FEMA performance was equally devastating. While Americans were living in cars and tents, FEMA was funding housing for illegal aliens.
In fact, various government agencies, including FEMA, funded more than 200 non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to provide shelter and services to illegal aliens in the United States. Among those NGOs is Catholic Charities, and some of that money was going to migrants even before they entered the U.S.
Everyone was puzzled about who was funding the migrant caravans as they marched through Central America and Mexico toward our border. Well, you were – the U.S. taxpayer.
American taxpayers were funding multiple faith-based NGOs that were supporting migrants on the march north until they crossed our border illegally. Then taxpayers funded other NGOs to put them up in hotels once they were here, only to have many of them commit crimes and give American taxpayers the finger.
When taxpayers demanded funding for the border wall, establishment politicians insisted, “We don’t have money for that.” So, under the Biden/Harris administration, our own government was funding the invasion of America and was unwilling to pay to stop the invasion of America.
That’s not happening anymore under Donald Trump and J.D. Vance. The border is secure, and NGOs undermining U.S. sovereignty have been defunded.
Will Song Sing?
FBI agents arrested Benjamin Hanil Song in Dallas yesterday. I’m glad they got him. He is charged with three counts of attempted murder for his role in the July 4th ambush of immigration police at an ICE facility near Ft. Worth.
Before agents captured Song, they arrested two accomplices who helped him evade police. John Phillip Thomas and Lynette Read Sharp were charged as accessories after the fact. At least a dozen people are now in custody for this heinous “insurrectionist” attack.
I want to reiterate that this was not just a bunch of leftist dummies running around wearing Palestinian scarves. This was a virtual military operation, involving surveillance, coordination, body armor, and high-powered weapons. The “soldiers” were Marxists, Antifa, and Transtifa.
These are the kind of people demanding that Democrat congressmen be willing to take a bullet to stop Donald Trump.
President Trump believes, and I agree, that illicit money and individuals are bankrolling this violent movement. There could be many possibilities. Iran, communist China, drug cartels, or even literally domestic enemies of the United States.
Hopefully Song or one of his co-conspirators will sing like a bird so the FBI can bust open these dangerous domestic terrorist cells.
Still A Threat
Speaking of funding terror, Islamic supremacists in Iran have raised more than $40 million to pay anyone who will assassinate Donald Trump. Iran’s nuclear threat may be neutralized, but the Islamic regime remains a dangerous threat.
This is not new. One year ago, when Donald Trump took the stage in Butler, Pennsylvania, Iranian hit squads were in America with the assignment to kill him. But the Biden administration didn’t tell Trump’s security detail about that intelligence.
In the closing days of the campaign, there was deep concern that enemies of America would try to use a surface-to-air missile, probably smuggled across Biden’s open border, to bring down Trump’s plane. All kinds of diversionary steps were taken to make sure that didn’t happen.
Now, there is news that five Iranians were just caught trying to cross the northern border.
We’re living in dangerous times!
Epstein Update
I share the disappointment of many conservatives that the Epstein files have not been released. But according to Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz, that’s not entirely up to the Trump administration.
In recent interviews and in a Wall Street Journal column, Dershowitz has made several important points, and, as Epstein’s former lawyer, his remarks carry extra weight.
- Just as other insiders have claimed, Dershowitz insists there never was a “client list” per se.
- What does exist are FBI affidavits from multiple victims that name various Epstein “clients.” The names of the victims and alleged clients have been redacted.
- Those affidavits have been sealed by two judges to protect the identities of the victims and the alleged clients.
- Dershowitz knows who the alleged clients are. He says some are dead. Some used to be in elected office, but none are current officeholders.
- Dershowitz warns, “We don’t know whether the accusations are true.”
The last point is particularly important. Sadly, we have cases of alleged victims accusing Republican Supreme Court nominees (Clarence Thomas, Brett Kavanaugh) of sexual harassment and worse. As the Judiciary Committee delved into these charges, they turned out to be nothing but vicious lies meant to destroy their target.
No one should be smeared like that. Their families shouldn’t have to endure such horrible attacks. And given everything he has gone through, President Trump has great sympathy for people who have been falsely accused.
The president is also concerned, and rightly so, that Democrats and their media allies are attempting to use the “Epstein files” as another Russia collusion hoax to bring him down.
In a Truth Social post this morning, Trump wrote, “I have had more success in 6 months than perhaps any President in our Country’s history, and all these people want to talk about . . . is the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax.”
Charlie Kirk points out, and I agree, that many conservatives believe Jeffrey Epstein was a “bagman and fixer” for the Deep State. That’s why they want it all exposed.
Speaking of the Deep State, investigative journalist John Solomon says President Trump told him that Attorney General Bondi can release any credible information about Epstein that she wants.
Trump also told Solomon that he supports a special prosecutor investigating the grand conspiracy of Deep State actions over the past decade. And, as part of that investigation, the special prosecutor should conduct a full review of the Epstein case.
Mamdani’s Meetings
New York City’s Marxist mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani held a meeting with Big Apple business leaders yesterday. But many of the biggest names on Wall Street refused to attend. Their boycott was a not-so-subtle way of telling New York Democrats that if he is the direction they want to go, they’re out.
This morning, Mamdani was feted by congressional Democrats at a breakfast hosted by socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. I predict Sen. Chuck Schumer, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, and Gov. Kathy Hochul will eventually endorse him.
In an interview last week, Ken Martin, the chair of the Democratic National Committee, was asked about Mamdani’s defense of the genocidal call to “Globalize the Intifada.” Martin simply said, “We are a big tent party.”
Predictably, the PBS interviewer moved on. The obvious follow-up question should have been, “I understand the idea of a big tent, but did I just hear you say your tent is big enough for people who hate Jews?
Meanwhile, President Trump was in Pennsylvania with leaders of major corporations, many of whom didn’t vote for him, launching a massive $100 billion investment project in artificial intelligence and energy. This project will create tens of thousands of jobs.
You can’t get a bigger contrast than a Marxist running for mayor New York City and the economic growth agenda that President Trump just brought to western Pennsylvania.
R.I.P. Pastor MacArthur
Pastor John MacArthur, a giant of the evangelical church, passed away this week. He led Grace Community Church in Los Angeles for more than 50 years.
Unlike some megachurches, he wasn’t concerned with entertaining. He was committed to teaching the Bible. He rejected the myth that in order to bring people to Christ, we have to water down God’s Word.
He once said, “I offend people all the time because that’s necessary. If you try to develop a kind of Christianity that’s inoffensive, that’s not Christianity, it’s not the Gospel.”
Pastor MacArthur occasionally disappointed those of us who wanted the church to be more involved in the battle to save America’s constitutional Republic. But he was not a pacifist about government.
When churches all over America meekly followed government orders to shut down during COVID, MacArthur’s church did not. He kept Grace Community Church open, and the church’s elders issued a statement entitled, “Christ, Not Caesar, Is Head of the Church.”
McArthur said he was willing to go to jail if necessary and vowed to start a prison ministry. Thankfully, it didn’t come to that.
John MacArthur’s faith has now become sight. He is now looking into the face of the Savior he believed in all his life and preached about all his life. Well done, Pastor MacArthur.
