Persecuting Catholics

The Trump administration is continuing to expose the weaponization of the federal government under the Biden/Harris regime. The latest revelation is about the FBI’s infamous “Richmond Memo” scandal that involved spying on conservative Catholic churches.

When a whistleblower leaked the Richmond Memo to members of Congress, the FBI went into full damage control mode. Then-Director Christopher Wray repeatedly went before Congress and either lied about memo or intentionally misled our elected representatives. This was not the “nothingburger” Wray said it was. This was a serious effort to go after Catholics for their traditional views.

The memo wasn’t just a “mind exercise” or planning for hypothetical situations. The Biden FBI actually spied multiple Catholic priests. They pulled the credit card records, telephone records and flight records of Catholic priests.

One priest was subjected to a “secondary” investigation at Boston Logan International Airport. After he left the airport, FBI agents followed him and then surveilled the home he went to.

So, the same administration that let rapists, gang members and terrorists cross our borders day after day after day, ordered law enforcement personnel to spy on the “real threat to America”—Catholics.

The FBI’s Richmond Field Office claimed these Catholic priests were recruiting violent domestic extremists among so-called “radical traditionalist Catholics.”

What is a “radical traditionalist Catholic”? Someone who supports the Latin Mass, “conservative family values” and conservative views on a variety of issues, including “abortion rights, immigration, affirmative action, and LGBTQ protections.” That’s all it took for the Biden FBI to label someone an “extremist” and a threat to national security.

Unbelievably, the agents who used the power of the federal government to go after people because of their biblically-based values, were not punished. They got positive reviews on their annual performance reports, enabling them to earn more money. Thankfully, Kash Patel fired them when he took over the FBI.

This hostility to faith is deeply ingrained in the Democrat Party. Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger (D) previously worked for the CIA and knows a thing or two about spying. She looked at this scandal and said to herself, “There’s someone I want working in my administration.” She hired the special agent in charge of the Richmond Field Office to be secretary of public safety and homeland security.

Hochul’s Hijab

For many years, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul has called herself a “feminist.” She is a big supporter of “women’s rights” and a proud champion of abortion on demand.

That’s why more than a few eyebrows were raised when Governor Hochul started taking orders from men in a way that some would say was humiliating. The men she dutifully obeyed are members of the Islamic Cultural Center of New York.

No doubt Hochul has been reading the latest demographic data about the fastest-growing voting blocs in New York. So, as we approach the 25th anniversary of the Islamic attack on New York City and Washington, D.C., Hochul wanted to stop by and offer her best wishes to everybody at the Islamic center.

But before she could speak, she demeaned herself by covering up her hair with a hijab in order to address a bunch of men who probably think she’s got the moral status of a dog. Oh, wait a minute, they really hate dogs!

Congratulations, NASA

The Nancy Grace Roman Telescope was successfully launched into space yesterday morning. The SpaceX Falcon rocket that launched the telescope successfully returned to the launching pad—another “miracle” of the modern space program.

The telescope is named after Dr. Nancy Grace Roman, the first female executive at NASA and the agency’s first chief of astronomy. Dr. Roman is also known as “the mother of Hubble” for successfully convincing Congress to fund the Hubble Space Telescope.

The Roman Telescope, however, is vastly superior to the Hubble. It is designed to “survey the sky 1,000 times faster than Hubble, with each image capturing a patch of sky at least 100 times larger than one of Hubble’s.”

Donald Trump rescued the space program and launched the Space Force in his first term. Trump and the Space Force were roundly mocked by the Left. Now, we are reaping the benefits and thanking God that President Trump had the foresight to do what he did.

Talarico’s Gospel Of Big Government

James Talarico is making headlines for putting his faith front and center in the Texas Senate race. While conservative candidates in Texas talking about their faith is not unusual, Talarico certainly is. He is very good at using his faith to justify his far-left politics.

In multiple speeches, he has rhetorically asked, “What would Jesus do if He walked into the United States Senate?” Talarico then says:

“I think he [Jesus] would say, ‘Depart from me. For I was hungry, and you cut my food assistance. I was sick, and you kicked me off Medicaid. I was a stranger, and you deported me and my family.’ And then I think he would flip over those fancy desks and demand that we take care of all our neighbors, especially the least of these.”

Other left-wing Democrats are making similar arguments. It’s happening so often now that it is clearly a strategy to fool Christians. If it succeeds, it will result in people who hate us having power over us.

I hope the fallacy in Talarico’s use of the gospel is obvious to every Christian. He isn’t quoting the gospel of Jesus Christ. He is using Christ’s instructions to us as individuals to justify big government.

As Christians, we are supposed to be generous and help those in need. But nowhere in the New Testament does Jesus ever argue for using the force of government to take resources from one group of people to redistribute those resources to other people.

Talarico better hope that Jesus doesn’t walk into the Senate anytime soon. If He does, it will be the second coming, and Talarico will have a lot to answer for. And if Jesus did walk into the Senate, it would be to disband the Senate. Not in the way the Left wants to, but to set up His kingdom, which will be perfect.

But to continue Talarico’s line of thought, if Jesus did walk into the Senate to make an announcement, I believe He would say:

“I created life. But you continually found ways to destroy it in the womb. I created humanity as male and female. But you pretended to be God and thought you could make someone something they are not. I created the institution of marriage. But you redefined it.”
