Iran Is Cheating New reports today indicate yet again that Iran is violating the existing sanctions regime even as President Obama attempts to negotiate a new deal over its nuclear program. Over the weekend, Mahan Air took possession of nine recently purchased Airbus passenger jets. Iran's transportation minister claims that a total of 15 planes have been purchased this year. The company was sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury Department more than three years ago for its support of Hezbollah and the Syrian regime. But these jets are not the main issue. |

FBI Director James Comey warned yesterday of a "general concern" that "ISIL is focusing on the uniformed military and law enforcement." Comey added that "hundreds, maybe thousands" of people in the U.S. are communicating with ISIS recruiters. Netanyahu Leads Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced the formation of a coalition government last night at the edge of the deadline to form a new government. For the time being, Netanyahu's coalition controls a bare majority of 61 votes in the Israeli parliament. Even though Netanyahu won a significant victory, he's been forced to form a government with smaller parties, meaning that his coalition will be unstable during a very difficult time. To his credit, the prime minister has maintained his focus on the current deal with Iran. |
