Clinton Bragged While New York Burned “He's a very smart guy, I've spent a lot of time thinking about him - and I nearly got him once. I nearly got him. And I could have killed him.” Those are the words of former President Bill Clinton speaking to an audience of businessmen in Australia on September 10, 2001. The “very smart guy” Clinton “could have killed”? That was Osama bin Laden who, just a few hours later, would become responsible for the deaths of nearly 3,000 Americans in the most devastating attack on American soil in history. |

"Kill The Bill" That was the advice various conservative activists and leaders are offering House Republicans regarding today's planned vote on an emergency spending bill to address the border crisis. Writing at The Weekly Standard, Bill Kristol makes the following points: |

Sessions Slams House Leadership Surrender When it comes to immigration, Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL) is one of the best champions of the rule of law. He has steadfastly fought the Senate's comprehensive immigration reform bill as a sellout of American workers and the middle class. And Sessions has been one of the most vocal critics of any abuse of executive authority to impose another mass amnesty. That's why his comments slamming the House's legislation to address the border crisis got my attention. Here's is an excerpt of Senator Sessions' statement: |

MELT THE PHONE LINES! The issue of illegal immigration is once again before Congress and the American people due to a man-caused crisis at the southern border. The White House is demanding $3.7 billion in additional spending, while Senate Democrats are proposing to spend a billion less. In the House, Rep. Hal Rogers (R-KY), chairman of the Appropriations Committee, introduced legislation today that authorizes only enough spending to see federal agencies through the end of the fiscal year -- about a fifth of what the White House wants. |

Kerry Pushes Hamas Proposal: Undermines Israel & Egypt After days of intense negotiations and shuttle diplomacy, Secretary of State John Kerry submitted his proposed ceasefire plan to the Israeli cabinet Friday. Cabinet ministers unanimously rejected it. The plan was so bizarre that the Obama Administration was forced to deny that it was promoting Hamas' demands in the document. |

Who Killed The Kids? Shells struck a U.N.-run shelter in Gaza yesterday, killing 16 Palestinians, many of them women and children. Hamas and much of the international media blamed Israel for the strike. Israel is investigating the incident and urged that there be no rush to judgment until the facts are in. |

Victory! As you know, the Obama Administration imposed absurd travel restrictions on Israel Tuesday when the FAA banned flights into Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion Airport. The ban was supposed to last only 24 hours, but the FAA renewed it yesterday. Senator Ted Cruz blasted the restrictions, saying, "The facts suggest that President Obama has just used a federal regulatory agency to launch an economic boycott on Israel." I too criticized them in yesterday's daily report. |

Good vs. Evil Earlier this week, Barack Obama stood on the White House lawn and addressed the conflict between Israel and Hamas. While he paid lip service to Israel's right to self-defense, Obama then went on to express his "serious concerns about the rising number of Palestinian civilian deaths." |

Stand With Israel Day two of the Christians United for Israel Washington Summit kicked off this morning with briefings from leading members of Congress such as Rep. Michele Bachmann, Sen. Ted Cruz and Sen. Tim Scott. Following their remarks, thousands of pro-Israel Christians canvassed Capitol Hill, urging their elected representatives to stand with Israel. |

Stand With Israel Christians United For Israel kicked off its ninth annual Washington Summit today. As you may know, Christians United For Israel was founded by Pastor John Hagee, and I am honored to serve on CUFI's Executive Board. The timing of this year's Summit seems prophetic and the mood is heavy. Thousands of pro-Israel Christians have come to our nation's capital to show their support for the Jewish state as it is once again engaged in hostilities against Islamic terrorists who have vowed to destroy it. |
