When it comes to immigration, America is a very welcoming country.  We are, as the saying goes, a nation of immigrants.  And we continue to admit one million people a year through the legal immigration process.

Scandal Update

Year after year, we see scandals erupt on the left, yet the central figures often seem to evade justice.  Lois Lerner comes to mind as a prime example.  Nevertheless, new reports indicate that progress is being made in some current investigations, while old ones are getting a second look.  Here are some examples.

There are a lot of other issues I'd prefer to cover today, but one story is dominating the headlines, so here we go. 

About That Button. . .

The left and its media allies are apoplectic this morning after North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un made this announcement during his New Year's address: "The U.S. should know that the button for nuclear weapons is on my table.  The entire area of the U.S. mainland is within our nuclear strike range."

Tumult In Tehran
The Islamic Republic of Iran has been rocked the past week by protests across the country.  It is hard to get solid information on exactly what is taking place there.  Demonstrations have erupted in at least 40 cities.  As many as 20 have been killed and 450 have been arrested.
