Fighting For Faith and Freedom

Today I addressed the Faith and Freedom Coalition's Road to Majority conference in Washington, D.C. The event featured a star-studded lineup of conservative leaders including Sarah Palin, Ted Cruz, Mike Lee and Allen West. The audience was enthusiastic and can't wait to cast their ballots this November!

I used the opportunity to catalogue the left's repeated attacks on our values and urged men and women of faith to stand up and fight back.

March For Marriage

Today Americans who support traditional marriage gathered in Washington, D.C., for the second annual March for Marriage. I am proud to say that American Values co-sponsored today's march.

Mixed Messages On Iraq

The Wall Street Journal reports today that the Obama Administration has once again ruled out immediate air strikes in Iraq. This afternoon, congressional leaders will meet with the president at the White House, where he is expected to lay out his "comprehensive strategy," which may "potentially" include a military component.

BREAKING NEWS: U.S. special forces have captured Ahmed Abu Khatallah, a key suspect in the 2012 Benghazi attacks. According to Rear Adm. John Kirby, Khatallah was captured Sunday and is "in U.S. custody in a secure location outside of Libya." This news comes on the heels of a new CNN poll finding that 61% of Americans feel the Obama Administration "has generally been dishonest" about the Benghazi attacks.

Our Vets DID NOT Fight In Vain

A terrible narrative is gaining traction as the scenes of jihadists driving toward Baghdad dominate the news. The narrative boils down to this: that the thousands of U.S. servicemen and women who fought, were wounded and died did so in vain.

The narrative is fueled by leftists who blame George W. Bush for getting us into Iraq and by some on the right who blame Obama's weak foreign policy for eroding the hard-fought gains our brave soldiers won.

You Spoke Up Loud And Clear!

Thank you! We received one of the highest response totals ever last night to the question of whether the U.S. should use air power in Iraq to stop the ISIS jihadists from marching on Baghdad. Over 90% of you support taking that action. The 10% who oppose it did so mostly because they lacked confidence in the administration.

Islamists March On Baghdad

A few days ago, we reported that Al Qaeda is on the verge of taking control of Iraq. The Iraqi government has been desperately asking for our help. They didn't ask for troops, but instead requested American air strikes.

Al Qaeda On The Rise

The Wall Street Journal reports that Iraq's second-largest city fell to Al Qaeda jihadists today. Fallujah -- less than 40 miles from Baghdad -- fell in January.

Look around the Middle East, my friends. Libya. Syria. Iraq.

Obama Frees War Criminals

The "scandals" that come from Washington are so frequent they tend to desensitize us. I pray that does not happen with last week's release of the "Taliban Dream Team" from Guantanamo Bay.

In a moment of unusual candor, Obama conceded that they could "absolutely" go back to the battlefield and threaten the lives of Americans. But Obama assured us that their release "was conditioned on the Qataris keeping eyes on them… We will be keeping eyes on them."

D-Day At 70

Today is the 70th anniversary of D-Day, the Allied invasion of France that marks the beginning of the end of World War II.

The World War II generation is passing, and with it our collective memory of the sacrifices they made to defeat Hitler, Mussolini, Hirohito and the forces of tyranny. The Allied invasion of Nazi-occupied France was a massive undertaking involving 160,000 troops, 13,000 aircraft and 5,000 ships.
