A Left-wing Insurrection

Congress should establish a "May 2nd Committee" and immediately launch a thorough investigation of the left's insurrection against the Supreme Court and the rule of law.

What's happening now following the unprecedented leak of Justice Alito's draft opinion is much more than the work of one lone clerk with an ideological ax to grind. Once again, the entire left-wing complex has been mobilized to war against common sense and the American people.

As we noted yesterday, the conservative justice's lives are in great danger after left-wing groups doxxed them. Radical demonstrators are planning to show up at their homes to intimidate them. Police officers are now stationed outside their homes.

Police cars and dump trucks were called in to protect the Supreme Court building. Non-scalable fencing has gone up. All this is being done to protect the court and the justices not from conservatives, but from left-wing radicals prone to violence.

A pro-abortion group, "Ruth Sent Us," is organizing the protests at the justices' homes. Of course, the group is named after the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, but she would be horrified at these kinds of fascist tactics. 

Yes, Justice Ginsburg was very liberal. But she was a traditional liberal who believed in civility. She and Justice Antonin Scalia, who likely would have authored this opinion if he were alive today, were very good friends. Justice Ginsburg would have been mortified if anything like this happened to him.

Yet even as liberal as she was, Ruth Bader Ginsburg understood a very critical point that has been largely overlooked: Roe v. Wade is bad law.

But the left doesn't care. It means to either rule the country or ruin the country. And to the left, the ends justify the means. In fact, you may recall there's a radical left-wing group that goes by the acronym "BAMN" – By Any Means Necessary.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the country, the stormtroopers of the left, Antifa, is now attacking pro-life Christian ministries. A crisis pregnancy center in Portland was ransacked yesterday. 

Think about that. Left-wing pro-abortion men attacked a group that helps the women who are often abandoned by liberal men. The violence on the streets is intended to continue the violence in the womb.

Left-wing religious bigots are also planning to disrupt church services this Mother's Day. How tolerant. 

President "Unity" Suddenly Silent

Predictably, the Biden White House is refusing to condemn the violence. Press Secretary Jen Psaki was asked yesterday to comment on the increasingly tense situation. Rather than issue a strong condemnation of the left's pressure tactics, Psaki seemed to encourage them. She said:

"For all those women, men, others who feel outraged, who feel scared, who feel concerned, [the president] hears them, he shares that concern and that horror of what he saw in that draft opinion."

Asked specifically to condemn the threats against the justice's homes, Psaki refused, saying, "Peaceful protests are not extreme."

This shouldn't surprise anyone. That's the same position the left took when American cities were burned during those "mostly peaceful protests" in the summer of 2020. 

Sarah Huckabee Sanders got so many threats from the left that for the first time in history a White House press secretary had to have Secret Service protection. I don't know for sure, but I seriously doubt Jen Psaki needs protection.

The Real Threat

Week after week, we are told that "our democracy is in danger," and that the danger is coming from the right. Incredibly, some so-called "journalists" think the media coverage of the pro-life movement is too kind! President Biden this week labeled the MAGA movement an "extremist movement" threatening the country. 

As I have repeatedly pointed out, that's totally false. The threat to democracy in America and to our constitutional Republic is coming from the increasingly intolerant, totalitarian left. 

The left is relentlessly attacking every institution – the family, the church, all three branches of government – and it is increasingly using the threat of violence and intimidation to achieve its goals. 

The events of the past week are not isolated incidents. Justices Alito, Kavanaugh and Barrett were subjected to this kind of intimidation and threats during their confirmation hearings. 

Numerous Republican senators -- Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Mitch McConnell, Susan Collins, Josh Hawley, Lindsey Graham, Thom Tillis, Jeff Flake -- have been attacked in public, accosted in the Capitol and threatened at their homes. 

I can only think of two Democrat senators who have suffered similar harassment – Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema. But that was also at the hands of the radical left!

In the weeks leading up to the 2020 election, there were reports that the National Guard was put on alert. Police departments canceled leave. Downtown Washington, D.C. was boarded up. 

Why? Was that because everyone feared angry MAGA supporters were going to take to the streets if Donald Trump lost? Of course, not. It was because everyone knew there would be massive left-wing riots if Trump was reelected!

We have reported before on the demonization of Nick Sandmann, Kyle Rittenhouse and the McCloskeys. The left's use of intimidation and violence is a prime weapon, a deliberate strategy. They want to own the streets in order to intimidate anyone who might speak up and oppose their insanity. 

It is extremely important that anyone subjected to this, especially those in important government positions, doesn't give in!

If any of the conservative justices lose their nerve now, I say to them: "You have damaged our country more than you can possibly imagine. Your appeasement only empowers the worst elements of the left to continue their threats of violence and their threats to democracy."

Biden's Bad Economy

Worker productivity cratered in the first quarter of 2022, falling at an annualized rate of 7.5%. That's the biggest drop in 75 years. Undoubtedly, that shocking report contributed to yesterday's collapse on Wall Street, a rout that appears to be continuing today. 

The Biden economy is a disaster, and the American people have virtually no confidence in this president and this Congress. In fact, there's tremendous "Biden Remorse" throughout the country.

A new Rasmussen poll finds that Donald Trump would crush Joe Biden 50% to 36% in a potential 2024 rematch. And if Trump doesn't run, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis defeats Biden 46% to 35%.

• Marine veteran Don Gardner, a garbage man in Utah, was recently recorded folding an American flag he discovered in the trash. "I took an oath once to defend this country and our flag, and I still do," Gardner said. God bless you, sir.

• Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed election integrity legislation that increases penalties for ballot harvesting, strengthens voter ID requirements, mandates annual voter roll reviews and expands the ban on "Zuck bucks" to local elections offices.

• Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita filed a lawsuit against the Black Lives Matter Global Network as part of an ongoing investigation into the organization's shady financial dealings.

• Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt signed legislation clarifying that official state birth certificates will only allow two gender options -- "male" and "female." 

• South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster signed legislation into law that declares religious services to be "essential services," protecting churches and houses of worship from government overreach in future "emergencies."

• A federal judge ruled against the Biden Administration's attempt to dismiss a lawsuit from the State of Florida demanding that the federal government actually enforce our immigration laws. The ruling is noteworthy for the judge's strong language blasting the Biden Administration's position that it has "unfettered discretion to determine how (or if) to comply with the immigration statutes."
