Moore Nonsense 

Left-wing hero Michael Moore offered his thoughts on the state of race relations in America in a series of tweets yesterday. Among his "demands," Moore suggested we should "Disarm the police." 

Referring to the condition of black Americans, Moore mockingly tweeted, "Imprison u, shoot u, sever your spine, crush your larynx, send u to war, keep u poor, call u a thug, not let u vote. But u can sing for us."

What on earth is he smoking?

"Imprison U" -- Thugs and gang members are imprisoned so that men and women in minority communities can feel safe walking their kids to school. Today's New York Post reports that while blacks and Hispanics make up half of New York City's population, they represent 91.2% of violent-crime suspects and account for 72.3 percent of the victims of all major crimes in the city. 

So the question for liberals is this: Are we going to protect minority criminals or minority victims? 

"Send U to war" -- Last time I checked, the military was an all-volunteer force and one of the best ways for minorities to get job training, gain access to higher education and escape poverty.

"Keep u poor" -- Why would any American want to keep someone else poor? The taxpayers of this country are contributing billions to big government redistribution programs like welfare and food stamps.

"Not let u vote" -- Black voter turnout exceeded that of white voters in 2012 -- even in states with strict voter ID laws. 

If any conservative said or wrote something so full of obvious distortions, they would never again be allowed to participate in a serious debate. But, sadly, I suspect we haven't heard the last of Michael Moore. 

Don't Know Much About. . . 

America's left-wing educational bureaucracy is failing our children and our country. According to the 2014 National Assessment of Educational Progress:
 

• Only 27% of 8th grade students were proficient in geography; 
• 23% were proficient in civics; and
• Just 18% were proficient in U.S. history.

  This is beyond outrageous. This is a national scandal. Exactly what are your hard-earned tax dollars accomplishing in our classrooms?

  America is being fundamentally transformed in more ways than we can imagine. How can we expect to produce the next generation of citizens and patriots if we are not teaching our own history? 

  Then again, knowing the politically correct anti-American history that is being taught in many schools, perhaps we should be thankful they aren't learning it! 

  America, Israel & The World 

  Last night I watched a moving report on CBS News. It was about Pemba Tamang, the teenager rescued from the rubble five days after the massive earthquake in Nepal. 

  It was an extremely dangerous effort that risked bringing a badly damaged hotel down on all of them. After five hours, Tamang was freed by an elite American Disaster Assistance Response Team. They found him wearing a New York Yankees t-shirt. Tamang was rushed to the nearest functioning hospital -- a field hospital set up by Israel. 

  Then the thought occurred to me: Is there an Iranian field hospital helping the Nepalese? How much support has Russia or China sent? 

  America and Israel have no strategic or vital interests in Nepal. But these pillars of Western Civilization, bound together by our shared Judeo-Christian values, rushed in to aid those in need. 

  Israel and the United States are regularly lambasted at international forums. At home, the left spends so much energy and effort tearing America and Israel down. Try imagining a world without America and without Israel.
