FBI Admits The Obvious
In yesterday's report, I wrote that big personnel changes were coming to the FBI. They can't come fast enough. The FBI is now admitting the obvious -- that it cannot verify key details in the Trump/Russia dossier, which triggered this entire investigation.
FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe testified for nearly eight hours last week before the House Intelligence Committee. During that time, he was pressed repeatedly about exactly which "facts" in the dossier the FBI had actually verified.
All McCabe could come up with was that Carter Page, a foreign policy adviser to the Trump campaign, had traveled to Moscow last year. Page's trip was hardly "cloak and dagger" stuff. It was covered by the media at the time.
So let's get this straight: A year and a half after the FBI began investigating Trump -- based on opposition research paid for by the Clinton campaign -- the FBI has no more information than what was widely publicized by the media a year and a half ago.
Trump's Triumphs
You wouldn't know it from the media's constant carping or the negativity of the "#NeverTrumpers," but the Trump/Pence team has racked up an incredible list of first year accomplishments. Here are just a few examples:
Historic tax reform and tax cuts.
- Repeal of Obamacare's individual mandate.
- Record rollback of regulations and red tape.
- Justice Neil Gorsuch.
- Record number of federal circuit court judges confirmed.
- Islamic State's caliphate crushed.

There is something else this president has accomplished: He is working hard to reverse the Obama Administration's hostility to our Judeo-Christian values, and that is no minor thing.
There is no shortage of world leaders willing to mention Mohammad, and our previous president denied we were part of Judeo-Christian civilization. Thankfully, Donald Trump is fighting for the values of men and women of faith and the values of Western Civilization.
Reverend Franklin Graham praised Trump, saying, "I'm so excited that the president isn't afraid to mention the name of Jesus Christ and that he boldly stands for not only Christ but all religious freedom."
Haley Follows Through
Since she arrived at the United Nations, Ambassador Nikki Haley has been an unapologetic voice for America and our alliance with Israel. She has repeatedly called out anti-Semitism and anti-Israel bias at various U.N. agencies, and she has demanded serious reforms.
For example, last week when the U.N. General Assembly voted to reject President Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, Haley warned that the U.S. would take names and respond accordingly. I am pleased to report that Ambassador Haley and the Trump Administration are following through on promises of reform at the United Nations.
In addition to withdrawing from UNESCO, Haley announced Sunday that the Trump Administration had forced a $285 million cut in the U.N.'s operating budget. In a statement, Haley said:
"The inefficiency and overspending of the United Nations are well known. We will no longer let the generosity of the American people be taken advantage of or remain unchecked. This historic reduction in spending – in addition to many other moves toward a more efficient and accountable U.N. – is a big step in the right direction."
Trump Leads The Way
The Jerusalem Post reports that more than 10 countries are following President Trump's lead and may relocate their embassies to Jerusalem. Responding to the U.N.'s absurd vote last week rejecting this reality, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said:
"Israel completely rejects this preposterous resolution. Jerusalem is our capital. Always was, always will be. But I do appreciate the fact that a growing number of countries refused to participate in this theater of the absurd. . . I want to again express our thanks to President Trump and Ambassador Haley for their stalwart defense of Israel and their stalwart defense of the truth."
By the way, Israel is showing its appreciation for President Trump by naming a future train station at the Western Wall after the president. Transportation Minister Israel Katz told the Jerusalem Post:
"The Western Wall is the holiest place for the Jewish people, and I decided to name the train station that leads to it after President Trump, following his historic and brave decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of the State of Israel."
