A Crisis Of Courage

It's another day of mourning in New York City.  Officer Wilbert Mora, the second police officer killed trying to protect a black mother from her criminal son, will be buried today.  Yesterday in Virginia, two college police officers were gunned down. 

In Texas yesterday, Officer Charles Galloway was laid to rest.  Galloway was shot in the head by an illegal alien during what should have been a routine traffic stop.  Captain Ted Heap spoke at the funeral.  His eulogy should be required reading for every elected official.  Here's an excerpt of his remarks:

"We cannot continue to serve successfully the community we love when there's this blatant disregard for authority. . . Those in authority who are coddling the criminals and enabling this behavior have culpability just as those who are pulling the trigger. . .

"Those who are in power, those who are making decisions, those who are setting policy, those who are elected, those who are appointed, I ask you to do one thing – and that is to have the courage that Chuck had.

"Have the courage to do what's right, have the courage to make decisions that protect the innocent . . . have the courage to stand up against those who are destroying our state, our county, our city and the communities that we live in." 

Captain Heap is absolutely right! 

Yes, rising crime is a serious problem.  But just as serious is the crisis of courage among far too many of our so-called "leaders."

As a result, every group in America that is supposed to defend us – the Border Patrol, the police, the men and women in our military – is breaking under the strain.  They risk their lives daily only to be smeared and disrespected day after day. 

• The left defunded the police. 

• The left called the police, Border Patrol and ICE agents "racists."

• The left passed soft-on-crime laws. 

• The left gave us prosecutors who refuse to prosecute criminals.

Now we're seeing the predictable result of demonizing law enforcement at the border, law enforcement in your city and the ultimate law enforcement for America, our military. 

Every thug -- from Putin in Russia and Xi in China to the gangs in your city and the drug cartels at the border -- has been unleashed.  Meanwhile, law-abiding Americans are back on our heels.  We see danger from all directions because we have cowards leading our government at every level. 

This is a national scandal!  Every so-called "progressive," woke politician – from your city council to the Oval Office – should be in the unemployment line as soon as possible!

Correct The Lie!

Remember when Joe Biden accused two Border Patrol agents on horseback of whipping Haitian migrants attempting to illegally cross the southern border?  "There will be consequences," Biden insisted.  He said they would "pay" for what they did. 

Like it or not, Joe Biden is the most powerful man in the world.  His words matter.  Yet, he smeared two hardworking men who were just trying to do their jobs protecting the border of our country.  And that's the real reason why "Open Borders" Biden was so upset – they were securing the border.

Biden also insisted that there was an investigation underway into their conduct.  If their conduct was so egregious that he immediately convicted them in the court of public opinion, the investigation should have been quick and easy, right? 

In fact, Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas vowed that the investigation would take "days, not weeks."

Well, that was over four months ago, and we've never seen the results of that investigation.  What's taking so long? 

We all know what's going on.  Joe Biden opened his big mouth, sided with law breakers and smeared two law enforcement agents, proving once again that he's really not a nice guy.

Worse, he's too much of a coward to correct the lie!  He's too afraid of AOC, BLM and the radical open borders mob to admit he was wrong.

Growing "Biden Remorse"

A new Rasmussen poll finds that 54% of Americans rate Joe Biden as "one of the worst presidents ever."  One of those Americans is Rhonda Exum.

She cast the first vote of her life for Biden.  But just a few weeks after the election, her daughter was killed by an illegal alien.  Now Biden's administration isn't deporting her daughter's killer.  "It's like telling me my daughter's life didn't mean anything," Exum said.  Please keep Rhonda in your prayers.

Sadly, Rhonda Exum joins a long and growing list of "Angel Families," parents whose children were killed by illegal aliens.  Our government is responsible for their needless suffering.  These crimes never should have happened because the criminals never should have been here!

Now Rhonda Exum has a message for Joe Biden:  "Look out for the American people first."

Left-wing Censors

While the left claims that Donald Trump is a threat to our democracy, the left is really the biggest threat to our freedom.  For the latest example of the left's threat to freedom, look no further than the controversy engulfing Joe Rogan and threatening his popular Spotify podcast.

The left's jihad against Rogan is odd in a way because he's not really a conservative.  He endorsed Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson in 2016 and Bernie Sanders in 2020.  But like Bill Maher, Rogan's not an insane leftist. 

Yesterday, I wrote about how the left uses the concept of "intersectionality" to enforce ideological conformity.  Because if there's one thing the left can't stand, it's diversity – diversity of thought and opinion. 

Throughout the pandemic, Rogan has invited people on his show to discuss the coronavirus.  At times, there have been guests who were critical of the government and who dared to question some things the healthcare bureaucrats deemed as "settled science." 

Now, the left wants to take Rogan down because it has rejected a fundamental idea of America -- free speech.  Yes, the left is fundamentally anti-American!

Liberal entertainers are taking their music off Spotify unless Spotify takes Rogan down.  Last week, the U.S. surgeon general demanded that Rogan be censored.  Really?  One of America's top medical officials is taking his scalpel to the First Amendment now?

This week, the Biden White House weighed in.  Press Secretary Jen Psaki demanded that Spotify "do more" than just add "content warnings" to Rogan's podcasts.  (How do we get one of those warnings for Biden's next press conference?)

But much of what Rogan and others were saying that the public health bureaucracy denounced as "lies and misinformation" ended up being true or is still open to debate.  Things like the lab leak theory and the effectiveness of vaccines, that masks don't work and that lockdowns don't work. 

That's why this country was built on free speech and the right to question our government.  When open debate is allowed, eventually the truth is discovered.  And the truth shall set us free!

Beyond the "emergency" of the coronavirus, the left is all in on the idea that we're also in a "climate change emergency."  Many Americans, including many scientists, disagree.  And the climate alarmists have been alarmingly wrong with their past predictions.

But if the left gets to determine what is an "emergency," then the left will shut down any debate over climate change.  They've been trying for years.

By the way, racism, as defined by the left, is increasingly described as a "public health emergency."  It's not hard to imagine leftists trying to shut down any debate at school board meetings over critical race theory or unleashing the FBI on concerned parents.  Oh, right – they're already doing that!

My friends, FEAR IS THE POINT.  The left is all about fear and control.

And if we can lose our constitutional rights whenever there is an "emergency," then the left will make sure there is always an emergency. 

Whoops!

When I'm wrong, I'm wrong.  And I was wrong yesterday when I wrote that nothing would happen to Whoopi Goldberg as a result of her outrageous remarks about the Holocaust. 

It turns out she was given a two-week suspension from "The View."  In a statement last night, ABC News President Kim Godwin wrote:

"Effective immediately, I am suspending Whoopi Goldberg for two weeks for her wrong and hurtful comments.  While Whoopi has apologized, I've asked her to take time to reflect and learn about the impact of her comments."

So, is this two-week suspension what they mean when they refer to a "Whoopi cushion"?  Sorry – I couldn't resist!
