Fake News & Fake Jews

The radical left showed its true colors yesterday when their “stormtroopers” occupied the lobby of Trump Tower in New York City. The media loved it and gave us headlines like this: “Jewish Protesters Flood Trump Tower To Demand Activist Mahmoud Khalil’s Release.”

That’s fake news.

Here’s the real story you should know about Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP), the group behind yesterday’s demonstration at Trump Tower. In no real sense are these far-left fringe radicals “Jewish.” Nor are they for “peace,” as their warlike occupation demonstrated.

Jewish Voice for Peace is allied with the Islamist group, Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), which means JVP is allied with Hamas because SJP is an ally of Hamas.

Do you think I’m exaggerating?

The Anti-Defamation League, a liberal Jewish organization led by a former Obama White House official, says this about JVP:

“It also promulgates the view that Jews who identify even tangentially with Israel are motivated by white supremacy, Jewish racial chauvinism and religious supremacism.

“Some JVP members, leaders and chapters . . . sponsor events where participants express support for violence or terror against Israelis and vilify Zionist Jews . . . have espoused blatant antisemitic tropes, including modern manifestations of the blood libel. . .

“The group organizes or co-organizes rallies and demonstrations that call for an end to U.S. support for Israel and the eradication of Zionism.”

Sounds bad! But there is more.

While Jewish grandmothers and young girls were being raped, while babies were being put in ovens, while Jews were still dying on October 7, 2023, Jewish Voice for Peace issued a statement blaming Israel for the violence because it is “occupying Palestinian land.” And, of course, JVP also blamed the United States for supporting the “occupation.”

The truth is that Israel is only “occupying” land Jews have lived in for 3,000 years.

JVP is among the worst of the worst, and they are on many college campuses, along with SJP. Both need to be kicked off our campuses.

Media Malfeasance

Several years ago, Donald Trump created a minor controversy when he called the media “the enemy of the people.” The story on Jewish Voice for Peace is a perfect example of what he was referring to.

You could be fresh out of journalism school and know that there is something odd about a big demonstration at a Trump property led by a “Jewish” group. You can’t accurately report the story unless you find out exactly what this group is all about.

Israelis love Donald Trump. His daughter and grandchildren are Jewish. So, who is this “Jewish” group, and why are they protesting against him? Who, What, Where, When, and Why. Those are the fundamentals of good journalism.

All the information I provided in the previous item about JVP is easily discovered with a simple Google search.

But explaining these facts wouldn’t help the left’s narrative. Today’s journalism students are taught that their job isn’t objective reporting, what we used to call “facts” or “truth.” Today, journalists are trained to be activists whose job is “bending the arc of history” by advancing the left’s agenda at all costs.

So, as a “journalist,” all you need to know is that these demonstrators are Jews, many claim to be students, and they are against Donald Trump because he’s trying to kick a “good and decent man, an oppressed minority immigrant,” out of America.

None of that is true!

But this is the country we live in now. And it is a reminder of how difficult it will be to prevail in the battle to save Western Civilization.

Schumer Surrenders

Late yesterday evening, Senate Democrat Leader Chuck Schumer came to grips with reality and announced that he would not vote to shut down the government. Then, he immediately went on MSNBC and called Republicans “bastards.”

Earlier in the day, Senate Democrats held a lunch meeting to discuss their strategy on the government funding bill or continuing resolution. Reporters waiting outside heard Democrat senators yelling inside the lunch.

Insiders say that Schumer let his caucus know it would be untenable for Democrats to block the continuing resolution and shut down the government. Leftist senators were furious.

So was Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. She and Schumer are now at each other’s throats.

We’ll find out soon if there are enough Senate Democrats willing to end protracted debate, which requires 60 votes, not 51. If not, we’re headed for a week-long shutdown as the House of Representatives has adjourned and isn’t scheduled to reconvene until March 24th.

The Uncouth Left

Vice President J.D. Vance and his lovely wife went to the Kennedy Center last night to see a performance by the National Symphony Orchestra. They were joined by bejeweled patrons of the Kennedy Center, the crème de la crème of Washington, D.C., society who, of course, understand the rules of polite society.

They’re the kind of people who never go to Walmart or darken the doors of a church because that “superstitious stuff” is not their cup of tea. Nor would they ever invite the “boorish” Donald Trump to their cocktail parties in the salons of Georgetown.

So, what did they do when the vice president and his wife walked in and took their seats? They booed like drunken fans at an NFL game when the opposing team takes the field.

Let’s recap.

This week we have seen grassroots leftists firebomb Tesla dealerships and spray swastikas on Tesla charging stations.

We saw Hamas sympathizers and leftist revolutionaries, occupy Trump Tower.

We saw the most highly educated, highbrow audience likely to be at any Washington event act like a bunch of obnoxious high schoolers.

We saw the Senate Democrat leader call Republicans “bastards.”

We saw Islamists and their leftist allies attack New York City police officers to show their support for the “poor Syrian immigrant whose wife is eight months pregnant.”

We saw six conservative influencers get “swatted,” an extremely dangerous act, by hateful leftists.

I don’t know. Maybe it’s time for Fox News to double down on its “Common Ground” series, which is based on the idea that the differences between the right and left are minor.

Rubio Is Right

Secretary of State Marco Rubio is under fire because he had to approve the deportation of Mahmoud Khalil. Everywhere he goes, no matter what he’s talking about, some leftist reporter always brings this up. Here’s how he handled one smug reporter:

“. . .if you tell us when you apply for your visa, ‘By the way, I intend to come to your country as a student and rile up all kinds of anti-Jewish students, anti-Semitic activities, I intend to shut down your universities,’ if you told us all these things when you applied for a visa, we would deny your visa. . .

“If you actually end up doing that once you’re in this country on such a visa, we will revoke it. . . It’s as simple as that. This is not about free speech. This is about people that don’t have a right to be in the United States to begin with. No one has a right to a student visa. No one has a right to a green card.”

A Historic Rollback

I had the good fortune of speaking with EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin at the White House earlier this week. He is obviously enjoying his job, and he said some great things are ahead.

Wednesday, Zeldin announced that he was taking 31 actions to repeal Obama and Biden regulations, “driving a dagger straight into the heart of the climate change religion.” Zeldin said this would amount to the biggest regulatory rollback in history, unleashing America’s economy and lowering costs for hard-working Americans.

Well done, Administrator Zeldin!

Hiding Corruption

It’s absolutely clear that the Biden administration pushed out billions of COVID relief dollars with virtually no safeguards in place to prevent fraud. The figures are breathtaking.

Much of that waste occurred in 2021, and the statute of limitations on all that fraud is about to expire. House Republicans want to extend the statute of limitations, not only to hold the fraudsters accountable but also to claw back any taxpayer funds they can get.

But when the legislation came up for a vote this week, 127 Democrats, including Hakeem Jeffries, Nancy Pelosi, and many other so-called “progressives,” voted no.

Try to think of a good reason about why they would do that. There are none. They desperately don’t want the American people to learn how corrupt the Biden administration was and how much corruption they permitted.
