"Not My Idea"

While leftists continue to gaslight the country by claiming that critical race theory isn't being taught in our public schools, the evidence to the contrary keeps piling up.

For example, at least 25 school districts around the country are using a book called "Not My Idea." Here's how Amazon describes the book: "Not My Idea is the only children's picture book that roots the problem of racism in whiteness and empowers white children and families to see and dismantle white supremacy."

So "whiteness" is the problem. Isn't that judging people by the color of their skin? Isn't THAT racist?

Among the pictures featured in the book is a "whiteness contract" depicted as a devil. (Yes, it even has a pointy red tail!)

If you sign the contract, you get to take other people's money and land, and "mess endlessly" with the lives of "all humans of color for the purpose of profits." And further illustrating the point of how capitalism is evil, a $20 bill makes up the devil's body.

This book could have been written by Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, who frequently rants against "white devils."

Most schools using this book are in places you'd expect – California, Illinois, Massachusetts, Washington State. But there are some surprises too, like Arkansas, Indiana and Montana. (You can see the list here.)

I know some people may dismiss this as just a drop in the bucket since there are 14,000 school districts across the country.  But this book is just one example of what's being taught in some form or another.  Because conservatives have become "woke" to what's being done to our kids, I guarantee there will be more examples in the weeks and months ahead.

Last summer, many of us were shocked by the scenes of youthful rioters pulling down statues or attempting to burn federal buildings. Sometimes they were interviewed by reporters on the street.

What frequently came out of their mouths left us sitting there with our mouths wide open, stunned by the sheer ignorance of these young adults who were attempting to burn down courthouses or tear down statues of George Washington and even Abraham Lincoln.

Well, this is why. It's because they have been indoctrinated with this kind of garbage for years.

This book is "not my idea" of a quality education, and it's not what the American people want either.

Polling shows that Americans reject critical race theory and they overwhelmingly favor the teaching of traditional Western values. But as I noted earlier this week, the teachers' unions are all in on critical race theory.

So parents, grandparents and taxpayers are going to have to fight hard to regain control of OUR schools. And I am pleased to report, as you'll read below, that the grassroots resistance to the radical left is growing.

Reagan Was Right

My friends, it would be a terrible mistake to dismiss this book and others like it. The children learning this nonsense will become bankers, military officers and policymakers – our future leaders.

Let me offer a personal note. What I learned in a blue-collar town in schools that were underfunded and often struggling with other social ills, formed who I became. There was a commitment by the adults in our lives to teach us to love America because it is a lovely country and a country deserving of our love.

What I learned about our founding fathers, the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, informed the entire direction of my life. The things I learned in those schools I have repeated thousands of times in articles, books and speeches. They were central to my presidential campaign in 2000.

That happened because teachers went to school in this modest blue-collar town believing it was their duty to teach students how privileged we were, and I assure you it wasn't our "whiteness." No, we were privileged because we were born in this great country of freedom and opportunity.

It does matter what our children are being taught. Every child not getting the message that America is a good and decent land is a child who will be unwilling or unable to defend this country from those who want to lay us low.

Ronald Reagan talked about this very issue in his presidential farewell address, one of his greatest speeches. He talked about the importance of imparting what he called "an informed patriotism" to the next generation.  Reagan said:

"We've got to do a better job of getting across that America is freedom -- freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of enterprise. And freedom is special and rare. It's fragile; it needs protection. So, we've got to teach history based not on what's in fashion but what's important."

Reagan was right then, and his words still ring true today.

What’s Beijing Up To?

Over the years, there have been persistent reports (here, here and here) that the Chinese communists are creating biological weapons and diseases that could attack and kill a particular race based on genetics or DNA. I can't think of a better definition of raw racism than that. These rumors can't be ignored.

For some reason that is open to dispute, although it can't possibly be good, the Chinese communists are obsessed with collecting DNA data, not only on their own people but on people all over the world. Given what we know is going on in Chinese bio-warfare labs, it doesn't take a vivid imagination to figure out what they might be up to.

The latest disturbing report comes from Reuters, hardly a "right-wing conspiracy site." Consider these excerpts of the Reuters report:

"A Chinese gene company selling prenatal tests around the world developed them in collaboration with the country's military and is using them to collect genetic data from millions of women for sweeping research on the traits of populations. . .

"The technology could propel China to dominate global pharmaceuticals, and also potentially lead to genetically enhanced soldiers, or engineered pathogens to target the U.S. population or food supply. . . So far, more than 8 million women have taken BGI's prenatal tests globally."

Of course, like every other Chinese company, BGI swears it isn't sharing the data with the Chinese communist military. But what has communist China done in the past 30 years that would give us any reason to trust them? Beijing lied repeatedly throughout the COVID pandemic. This is a regime built on lies from top to bottom.
