The Deep State Strikes Back

Once again, we see that the Biden Justice Department is just another weapon in the left’s arsenal. After the Supreme Court’s presidential immunity ruling, Special Counsel Jack Smith was forced to go back to the drawing board and modify his charges against Donald Trump.

Last week, Smith filed a new brief, under seal, with Judge Tanya Chutkan outlining what his arguments are going to be in a case that may never come to trial. Yesterday, Judge Chutkan unsealed the brief and made it public.

So, everyone can see the prosecution’s argument, but Donald Trump has no venue to respond. And that’s exactly the reason they did it.

There is no legitimate legal purpose served by releasing the details of this new indictment, 34 days before the election, that Smith redrafted to get around the Supreme Court’s immunity decision.

Even liberal media legal analysts are bothered by this. (Here and here.) That tells you everything you need to know.

Does anyone think it’s just a coincidence that it was unsealed right after J.D. Vance cleaned Tim Walz’s clock in the debate?

If Walz had won, it still would have been released because Republicans would be reeling from that setback and then this would hit. That one-two punch could affect the race.

But since it was Vance who won, the indictment was unsealed to take the air out of that victory, and it gives the media something else to write about.

And was it just a total coincidence that the very last question in the debate was whether Vance would concede that Trump lost the 2020 election?

That exchange is getting a lot of coverage in the media, and then suddenly we get a new indictment about whether Trump lost the election or was cheated.

Losing America

Yesterday, we reported that the Biden administration raided FEMA’s budget and spent $1 billion to shelter illegal aliens all over the country. FEMA was created to help Americans in times of severe distress – not people illegally in the country!

Well, guess what? Now the administration is telling us that FEMA is out of money. The hurricane season still has 58 more days to go. And there’s no more money.

Commentator Molly Hemingway made an excellent observation. She said that in a sane country, this election would be over. She’s right. In any normal period in our history, the election would have ended sometime between last week and this week.

Normal Americans, instead of these global citizens we are creating in our left-wing universities, would have enough Americanism in them that they would be furious at the inept federal response to Hurricane Helene and outraged by the fact that illegal aliens have priority over our own citizens!

With every passing hour, the depth of this scandal becomes more and more obvious.

Our ports are closed. Six states are on their backs. There’s a possibility of nuclear war in the Middle East and in Ukraine/Russia. Yet with all the evidence of government incompetence and corruption, this election is supposedly a toss-up.

Leftist Lunacy

The inspector general at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) just dropped a bombshell. After looking into how Biden’s open borders policies are being implemented, he concluded that DHS is allowing illegal aliens to enter the country even if they had no identification on them.

So, they show up at the border with no ID, obviously no Social Security card, and no driver’s license. We don’t know who they are. We don’t know where they came from. We don’t know anything about them except what they tell us, which we apparently just accept at face value.

Yet Biden administration assures us these “migrants” are vetted. How?

And then we allow these totally unidentified aliens to board domestic flights. They could be terrorists, for all we know! Meanwhile, grandma is getting a full pat down while the rest of us are standing in long lines with our IDs, taking off our shoes and belts.

In a normal country with actual Americans running our government, these migrants would be told, “Sorry, you can’t come in. We have no way of knowing anything about you. Go back home, and come back with a legitimate ID.” But that wouldn’t serve the left’s purpose of replacing American voters with millions of new voters.

One of the Biden programs that the inspector general flagged as especially problematic was the CBP One cell phone app that allows illegal aliens in their home country to register for entry into the United States. Watch this video to see why. Again, all information is just accepted at face value.

The inspector general’s report stated that these open borders policies “may inadvertently increase national security risks.”

Of course, the risks are increasing!

The Department of Homeland Security just issued its 2025 Threat Assessment. It said that the threat level will remain high partly because of illegal aliens “with terrorist ties” and “some criminal actors” crossing the border.

But there’s not one word about this in the major newspapers or Big Media.

Instead, CNN’s Jim Acosta is accosting Corey Lewandowski over the proper pronunciation of “Kamala,” as if that’s a really pressing issue the people of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee care about right now.

“Did you hear the big news, John?”

“What? Are we getting power back soon?”

“No, some conservative was mispronouncing Kamala Harris’s name! Oh, the horror!”

Love Our Neighbor

Whenever the subject of illegal immigration comes up, liberals lecture us endlessly about our obligation to “love our neighbor.” Who is our “neighbor”? If we have a moral and patriotic obligation to our neighbor, it helps to know who those people are.

If anyone in our government is stumped by the question, let me help: It’s not someone in one of the other 190-plus countries in the world. They aren’t our “neighbors.”

Our neighbor is the guy you said “Hi” to getting the paper this morning.

Your neighbor is your co-worker.

Broadly speaking, your neighbor is a guy in your state who loves the same basketball or college football team. It’s the guy who gets a tear in his eye when the national anthem is played.

More broadly, the guy in another state who, like you, wants to see America succeed is your neighbor.

It’s the guy in some other state halfway across the country whose son, like yours, joined the military to serve our country.

Those people are our neighbors!

Not Jose from Guatemala. Not Zhang in China. Not Ahmed in Yemen. They are human beings, but they are not neighbors.

Americans are good and generous people. We send missionaries around the world. There are private aid groups like Samaritan’s Purse helping people around the world.

But when it comes to our government, its responsibility is to the American people first.

Emhoff Abuse Scandal

Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff is facing serious allegations of abusing women. It’s being reported that Emhoff struck his then-girlfriend at the May 2012 Cannes Film Festival. He allegedly hit her in the face “so hard she spun around” from the blow.

Three of the woman’s friends say she told them what happened. And the allegations have additional credibility because there is video of Emhoff at the film festival. There are reports that Emhoff’s abuse of women in California was an open secret.

Ever since the palace coup that forced Joe Biden out of the race, Emhoff has been celebrated by the left and their media allies as the epitome of what manhood should be, instead of people like Donald Trump and J.D. Vance.

The Emhoff scandal erupting now is sadly ironic. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
