Victims Of Progressivism

Loudoun County, Virginia, has become ground zero in America's culture war. Concerned parents have been battling radical school board members and their outrageous left-wing policies for quite some time. There's a recall effort against most of the school board members and new demands for the superintendent of schools to resign.

The latest skirmish involves the school board's transgender student policy and a raucous meeting in June that ended with the arrest of Scott Smith, whose daughter was in the ninth grade. 

Smith says he was at that meeting to protest the board's transgender policy because his daughter was raped in a girl's bathroom by a boy wearing a dress who claims to be "gender fluid." But Superintendent Scott Ziegler denied that there had been any sexual assaults in any Loudoun County schools.

In other words, so-called "progressives" covered up a brutal assault because it was exactly what parents had been warning about from the beginning of the absurd "gender fluid" dictates. Parents repeatedly told school board members, "You can't let boys into girls' locker rooms and restrooms, you idiots!"

But Smith was never allowed to speak at the June meeting. Before he could address the board, public comments were cut off. The bureaucrats silenced him, perhaps because they knew he was about to expose their coverup. The local prosecutor tried to put Smith in jail, and he was banned from future school board meetings.

I ask you: How would you react if the school board who allowed this to be done to your daughter would not allow you to speak out at a school board meeting? 

Thankfully, Smith is getting the chance to tell his story now. It's one every parent and grandparent should hear. But you won't hear it from the "lamestream media."

If these allegations prove to be true, and the Loudoun County Sheriff's Department has confirmed an assault occurred in May, then Smith's daughter is a victim of the left's gender fluid insanity. 

And Smith was silenced by the school board, persecuted by local officials and smeared by the National Association of School Boards as a "domestic terrorist." 

Scott Smith and his daughter are just the latest in a long and growing list of victims of today's so-called "progressive" socialist left.

Biden Family Corruption

As you may recall, Hunter Biden is the focus of an ongoing FBI investigation. Big Media and Big Tech did their best to spike that news during last year's campaign, but Hunter confirmed it himself rather conveniently a month after the election.

Well, this could become big news very soon. We now know that in recent years Joe Biden and his son Hunter shared joint bank accounts and paid each other's bills.

This is no small matter as it reportedly happened while Hunter Biden was getting big checks from Russian and communist Chinese sources. Joe Biden has claimed that he never knew about Hunter's foreign business dealings. But we already know that's false. 

Constitutional law professor Jonathan Turley said this morning that this kind of information raises serious implications that the Biden family was running an influence peddling scheme. Well, we already knew that, too. 

The left-wing media outlet Politico published a lengthy report two years ago entitled, "Biden, Inc." The subtitle says it all: "Over his decades in office, 'Middle-Class Joe's' family fortunes have closely tracked his political career."

Turley wondered why the Justice Department hasn't "considered the appointment of a special counsel."  Well, it's not surprising to me why they haven't done that.

The FBI and the Department of Justice are too busy investigating police departments, conservative organizations and angry parents at school board meetings. They're too busy trying to turn a riotous protest on January 6th into an "insurrection" that never happened. 

Yes, we need a special counsel and a major investigation now, but I'm not holding my breath. 

That said, Kevin McCarthy and Mitch McConnell should declare that if Republicans retake the House and the Senate, they will form a special committee to investigate what the president knew and when he knew it.

Investigate Pelosi Too

The corruption doesn't stop with the Bidens. Third in line for the presidency is the very unpopular Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. In her career of "public service," she has managed to accumulate something close to $300 million.

The speaker seems to be an incredible stock picker. Thousands of amateur investors follow Pelosi's buys and are astonished at how quickly they're making money. In fact, Pelosi's wealth has doubled since she became speaker in 2018.  

While Pelosi is cashing in big time, she really wants the IRS to keep tabs on your cash. 

At a press conference yesterday, Pelosi was asked about banks getting irate calls from customers concerned about the Biden Administration's outrageous scheme to force banks to report all transactions of $600 or more to the IRS. The reporter wanted to know if that scheme would be included in the Democrats' reconciliation bill. 

Pelosi answered, "Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes." Her irate reaction is a "tell," as they say in poker. 

The left's most important goal is to assert its power over you. They do not mean for you to be able to govern yourself. They want to intimidate you out of school board meetings, they want to spy on virtually every financial transaction you make. They are beginning to rival the communist Chinese in their hunger for the personal information of their "subjects." 

There was another revealing moment at the press conference. A reporter told Pelosi that polling shows Americans aren't aware of what is in her massive reconciliation bill, and asked if she shouldn't do a better job of "selling it." 

Pelosi told her media friends, "I think you could all do a better job selling it." Many people were outraged by her response, but it didn't surprise me. 

It was a conversation between a bunch of liberals about why they're having such a problem pushing their radical agenda. So, Pelosi told the left-wing reporters to do more of what they usually do, which is help liberal politicians stay in power.

By the way, Biden's outrageous IRS reporting scheme is extraordinarily unpopular. Nearly three-quarters of Americans oppose it, including 62% of Democrats. But Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi are all in on radically expanding the power of the IRS.
