Barack Bows To Beijing

When China recently attempted to assert control over the Senkaku Islands, claimed by Japan, by arbitrarily extending an air defense zone over the islands, America's initial response was the correct one: We sent two B-52s flying through the air space.

But today Foreign Policy reports that signals from leading officials at the White House and the Pentagon indicate that Obama is once again backing down.

"We Are Less Safe"

There was a very disturbing discussion on CNN's Sunday talk show "State of the Union." The guests were Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Representative Mike Rogers (R-MI), the respective chairmen of the Senate and House Intelligence Committees. The topic was terrorism, and I suspect most folks (including those in the media) simply tuned it out during the holiday weekend. But what Feinstein and Rogers had to say was alarming.

FBI Stonewalling Congress?

The FBI is an honorable agency made up of dedicated men and women who serve their country well. But there is growing evidence that it is being corrupted and may now be stonewalling the congressional investigation of corruption at the IRS.

A Thanksgiving Miracle

We are getting reports from all over the country of a possible Thanksgiving miracle. Truly, something appears to have happened once believed to be impossible.

To Give Thanks

Jay Leno may seem like an odd way to start off a message about Thanksgiving. The late night talk show host recently walked out of his studio and conducted a "Thanksgiving Trivia Challenge" with random folks on the street.

"Worst Deal Since Munich"

With the subtly of a sledgehammer, columnist Charles Krauthammer blasted Barack Obama's deal with Tehran, labeling it "the worst deal since Munich." Here are some excerpts of his remarks last night onFox News:

Obama Cuts A Deal With Tehran

Speaking at the White House late Saturday night, Barack Obama announced that a deal had been reached with Iran. The agreement, according to the president, "cut off Iran's most likely path to a bomb." Few seem to share the president's enthusiasm. Only two countries praised this deal -- Iran itself and its client state Syria.

Remembering JFK

It is hard to believe that is has been 50 years since President Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas by pro-Castro Marxist Lee Harvey Oswald. I can remember my long walk home from school that day and seeing the flags at half-staff. None of us knew at the time that the assassination would be just the first event in a tumultuous decade of protests, political violence, riots and social discord.

BREAKING NEWS: Reid Goes Nuclear

Hours ago, Senate Democrat Leader Harry Reid invoked a parliamentary maneuver to change the Senate rules and restrict the rights of the minority party. Under normal Senate procedure, it requires a super-majority of 67 votes to change the Senate rules. But the tactic Reid deployed today is so controversial, it is known as the "nuclear option."

In fact, three Democrats voted with all 45 Republicans to oppose the rules change. But with 52 votes, Reid prevailed.

Obama Still Crashing

I don't like to dwell on polls because they can change quickly. But the latest poll from CBS, one of the more pro-Obama polls, finds that the president's approval rating is down to just 37%. That's down nine points in one month. Over all, President Obama has a 20-point gap in his approval rating with 57% disapproving of his job performance.

The numbers are even worse for Obamacare. Only 31% of Americans approve of Obamacare (down 12 points since last month) and 61% disapprove.
