Obama's Disrespect Here's another example of "who" I think Barack Obama is. When Obama quickly reversed course and decided to seek congressional approval to strike the Assad regime in Syria for its use of chemical weapons, the most significant political support he received was from Speaker John Boehner and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor. |

The Fed's Funny Money Fed boss Ben Bernanke shocked financial markets yesterday when he announced that the Federal Reserve had decided not to "taper" the "funny money" it was pumping into the economy. The Fed is currently creating $85 billion a month that is then used to buy U.S. Treasury bonds, thus funding our debt. This is the equivalent of your family being $10,000 in debt and you saying to your spouse, "No problem. I just drew $10,000 on a piece of paper and cut it out so you can take it to the bank." |

Obama's Bad Example Barack Obama regularly pushes the limits of his authority to get around Congress. On several occasions, his aggressiveness has been checked by the courts, but that hasn't deterred him. Some have compared the way Obama manages the presidency to what one would expect from a Latin American strongman rather than a president of a constitutional republic with a well-established system of checks and balances. Unfortunately, there is evidence that this heavy-handed style of leadership is spreading. |

The Media's Double Standard Yesterday I pointed out how shocking it was to watch the president launch into a raw political attack on conservatives while a dozen people were shot dead just a few miles away at the Washington Navy Yard. At the time of Obama's speech, police still believed that two gunmen were on the loose and they had no clue yet as to what had happened. |

No Shame, No Clue, No Class The mass shooting this morning at the Washington Naval Yard had this city reeling. Local authorities confirm that twelve people are dead. Was it terrorism? A domestic dispute? No one knows yet. What we do know is that a dozen military personnel brutally shot just blocks from Capitol Hill was not enough to thwart Obama's non-stop partisan attack on conservatives. |

America's Enemies Pile On If Vladimir Putin's outrageous op-ed decrying the concept of American exceptionalism wasn't enough to endure in one day, America got another "gut punch" yesterday from Ayman al-Zawahiri. In a new message released the day after the 12th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, the Al Qaeda leader instructs his jihadist followers to renew the attack against America. He specifically calls for smaller, easier attacks that can be carried out by one or two people. He praised the Boston Marathon bombing as a prime example. |

KGB Thug Lectures Home Of The Free It seems that new each day brings our beloved country yet another humiliation. Today Vladimir Putin, a former KGB thug who oversaw the mass murderers of Chechnya, a Russian autocrat still seething from the collapse of the Soviet Union, took to the pages of the New York Times to lecture the American people on what our proper attitude should be about our country and the world. |

The Speech It is the day after Obama's speech to the country on Syria. Military action has been postponed, perhaps permanently, an outcome most conservatives wanted. Yet, I doubt many of us woke up happy this morning. I know I did not. It is not a happy experience to watch your country drown under the accumulating weight of Obama's mistakes. Certainly I have no doubt he would have failed implementing his Syria strikes, and he likely would have empowered our enemies in the process. |

Another Day -- Time To Change Syria Policy Again! There is a wide consensus that Barack Obama made a big mistake in publicly setting a "red line" on the use of chemical weapons in Syria. But once again, Team Obama's verbal gaffes have created confusion and undermined America's credibility. |

Syria Week In Washington As Congress returns to Washington this week, the headlines will be dominated by Syria. Today, Obama is pushing his Syrian strike plans in media interviews with ABC, CBS, CNN, PBS, Fox News and NBC. |
