CUFI Highlights

Words cannot express the tremendous excitement on display yesterday at the Christians United For Israel Washington Summit! (As you may know, I run CUFI's Washington, D.C. office.) Christians United For Israel was founded by Pastor John Hagee, and is the largest pro-Israel organization in America with more than three million members.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the Summit via satellite. He thanked the attendees, saying:

It is an extraordinary day in Washington, D.C. Thousands of pro-Israel activists are in town for the annual Christians United For Israel Washington Summit.

I had the honor a few hours ago of addressing the Summit. I spoke about the importance of the U.S./Israel alliance and the danger of rising anti-Semitism. In addition, I provided some important context for tomorrow's "lobbying day" with members of Congress.

Here we go again. The media are in another frenzy over Donald Trump Jr.'s meeting with Russians.

Do you remember Freddie Gray? He was a walking example of the problems plaguing America's inner cities.

Modern McCarthyism

Donald Trump Jr. went on Sean Hannity's TV show last night to defend his actions last year in meeting with a Russian lawyer. He said there was absolutely nothing learned from that meeting that was used during the campaign.

He noted that the meeting took place in June and that the "Russian collusion panic" did not start until weeks later. He also said that he never told his father anything about the meeting because there was nothing to tell.

At The White House

Yesterday, I was honored to join several leaders of the Values Voter movement at the White House. We spent all day interacting with top administration officials on a variety of critical issues, including the sanctity of life, Obamacare and judicial nominations.

While it wasn't on the official schedule, we also spent significant time in the Oval Office with President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence.

A couple of weeks ago, many of you received a letter from me as part of our summer fundraising program. It is never easy to raise resources in the summer, but it is necessary. The letter was about Bernie Sanders' appalling attack on the faith of one of President Trump's nominees.

Responses were going well until the Fourth of July holiday. Maybe you have been out of town. Perhaps our letter is waiting for you at the bottom of a stack of mail. But we need your support. Please respond today.

Trump Defends The West

President Trump delivered an incredibly powerful speech this morning in Warsaw's Krasinski Square. It was a speech that Ronald Reagan would have loved.

Bill Kristol, who has been relentless in his criticism of the Trump/Pence Administration, tweeted this: "Trump's speech in Warsaw was an appropriate, even eloquent, speech worthy of a president speaking for America. #CreditWhereCreditIsDue"

North Korean Nukes

While we were celebrating freedom, North Korea reminded us of the dangers that American liberty has had to overcome. The U.S. military confirmed that the Stalinist regime tested a far more advanced ICBM late Monday.

North Korea's Stalinist dictator Kim Jong-un bragged about the test, saying, "I guess [the Americans] are not too happy with the gift package we sent them for the occasion of their Independence Day."
