Obama's Meaningless Response, The Left's Assault On Christmas, Cruise To Alaska |
Obama's Meaningless Response Proving that appeasement never works, the North Korean hackers are now making additional demands of Sony. According to CNN, Sony executives received a new threat last night stating: "It's very wise that you have made the decision to cancel the release of The Interview. . . . Now we want you [to] never let the movie [be] released, distributed or leaked in any form . . . And we want everything related to the movie, including its trailers . . . down from any website hosting them immediately." |
Christmas For Dictators, Sony's Surrender, Democrats In Decline |
Obama's Christmas For Dictators Dictators all over the world are receiving the gift they desired most -- America handcuffed by a president intent on giving them whatever they want. Yesterday it was the Castro brothers turn to sit on Obama's lap and get their goodies. Cuba's communist government has its back against the wall. Russia is reeling from falling oil prices and couldn't bail Cuba out. The same is true for Cuba's socialist ally, Venezuela. And then along comes "Obama Claus." |
Obama Coddles Castro, Our Dangerous World, Establishment Primary |
Obama Coddles Castro Today at the White House, amid great fanfare, President Obama announced a new policy toward Cuba. But it is nothing more than the same old left-wing appeasement. Obama declared that America's foreign policy toward Cuba -- instituted by John F. Kennedy and carried out by subsequent Democratic and Republican administrations -- was "outdated." The president said, "We cannot keep doing the same thing and expect a different result." |
America Stands Tough, A Teachable Moment, Jihadists Slaughter Schoolchildren, Happy Chanukah |
America Stands Tough On National Security The left is losing the debate over the use of enhanced interrogation techniques after the 9/11 attacks. A Pew Research Center poll finds that 51% of Americans feel the enhanced interrogation methods were justified. Only 29% feel there were not justified. Fifty-six percent of Americans believe the enhanced interrogation techniques provided useful intelligence, while 28% said they did not. |
Radical Left Threatens Police, Jihad In Sydney, Will Obama Abandon Israel |
Radical Left Threatens Police There were major demonstrations again this weekend in cities across the country protesting police brutality and racism. In Washington, D.C., thousands marched down Pennsylvania Avenue in a protest organized by Al Sharpton, featuring family members of Michael Brown, Eric Garner and others who died in altercations with police. The vast majority of marchers in most cities were peaceful. But a significant contingent of left-wing radicals once again hijacked the protests to push for an extreme agenda. |

Cromnibus Passes After a day of drama, the House of Representatives passed the so-called "cromnibus" spending bill last night by a margin of 219 to 206, thus narrowly avoiding a government shutdown. Sixty-seven Republicans voted against it, while 57 Democrats voted for it. Few conservatives are happy with this bill. Rep. Jim Moran, a left-wing Virginia Democrat, rallied support for the bill, saying, "We got virtually everything that the Democrats tried to get." That doesn't exactly leave conservatives with warm and fuzzy feelings. |
Harry's Last Hurrah, Cheney Chimes In, Chaplain Chastised For Faith |
Harry's Last Hurrah If you've heard about the omnibus spending agreement reached in the last few days between Speaker John Boehner and Senate Democrat Leader Harry Reid, I'm sure you're shaking your head, too. This last-minute spending bill is Exhibit A for everything that is wrong in Washington. |
Spies Slam Senate Report, No To Hamastan, Grilled Gruber |
Spies Slam Senate Report Yesterday's release of the Senate Intelligence Committee's so-called "torture report" certainly dominated the headlines. But one silver lining may be that former officials are now free to defend the controversial interrogation program. There has been surprising pushback to the report by former CIA officials, media commentators and even some Democrats. For example: |
Risky Report, ISIS Claims Dirty Bomb In Europe, Brooklyn Synagogue Attack, Values Matter |
A Risky Report Senate Democrats today released a highly controversial report on the CIA's use of enhanced interrogation techniques in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks. The Associated Press reports that U.S. embassies and military installations worldwide are bolstering security, bracing for possible jihadist attacks using the report's conclusions as an excuse. |
Obama Frees Gitmo Thugs, Landrieu Loses, Race In America |
Obama Frees Gitmo Thugs Once again President Obama continued with his ill-conceived plan to close the terrorist detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, by transferring the thugs housed there to third party nations. In spite of evidence showing that a significant percentage of previously released prisoners have returned to the battlefield, the administration on Saturday sent six detainees, all with connections to Al Qaeda, to Uruguay. |
